I lurked and read a lot of posts on the LJ trans9 for 2 years before deciding to join. I guess I should have joined much earlier when the game was at its peak back then.

Oh well, it has been nice RPing with you all. I don't have plurk and rarely go onto AIM but I do have a tumblr where I fangirl over The Legend of Korra and other cartoons. =P

I started reading Trans-9 earlier this year. I fell in love with the story of characters we love realizing that not only are they cut-off from their worlds, but dealing with the fact that they are all that remains.

Their struggle to, at best, restore what they lost, and at worst, avenge what they lost, was something that consumed many hours of internet binging, it introduced me to concepts and series I had never even considered or gave second thoughts. I also loved the mission structure, and saw that it had untapped potential.

And now, right after the shackles of the Daligig have been thrown off, right as things start to pick up into epic levels... it all just ends?

I only started getting involved with RPs a few months back, but, if one were to become a mod, what would it require?

Because if Trans9 really starts closing down, then let it go out in a blaze of glory - rather than fade to nothing.

With the game closing, I'm gonna have to bow out and likely won't be back for museboxing due to difficulty of getting Crematia's voice steady. But if anyone wants to resolve any threads/logs, give me a heads up and we can back tag, but it will be slow on my part.

It's dead, Jim. Without the modpower, there's really no way of continuing.

The Game Bible is located here as a zip download if anyone wants it for private museboxing or just for their own curiosity. It will be put up on DW pages as well in case anyone ever has trouble with mediafire, and linked. That will take a bit of time, though.

There's an informal musebox at [community profile] stacypwns for people to play out any plots or even endgame if they want.

Trans 9 is now officially closed. Backthreads can continue if you want to tidy up any loose ends, but no new posts can be made.

Good luck wherever you all go next. If you'd like to use this as a friending meme to keep in touch with other players, you may.

So, over the last few days, I've been hearing various reports about mods and players starting to drop like flies for one reason or another, with one of the guys saying that this game is dying.

Others are having trouble moving along with plots and the like, and, though I've only given the post about it a quick glimpse, I've heard the game is about to undergo a massive overhaul.

I'm staying with this for the long-run one way or another, but I have a little proposition for you guys.

It is reluctantly, especially considering that this is one already, that I propose that Trans 9 undergoes... a reboot.

It was just an on the moment thing, and I'm willing to explain better, so please tell me what you think.

Everyone's dropping out now so a big DROP NOTICE is kinda moot at this point, but I just wanted to say that if anyone ever wanted to add me on plurk and never got around to it but still want to keep in touch, or you just met me and this is crazy etc etc and wanted to, I'm still around at [plurk.com profile] zitasaurusrex.

And if you had me added purely for game reasons and would like to remove me, it is totally fine. I don't really intend to thin my list down at this moment because I am lazy so... yeah.

I'll also always be around for wasting time on AIM. :)

After thinking things over...

I'm done. It's been too hard scrabbling things together this last while and with us down to two mods, I just really can't do it. Even the process of trying to train up another mod is a bit too much for me.

And I've realized that at this point, events at Trans and how the players treated each other over the years has pretty much entirely put me off DWRP to the point that even though I don't regret some of it since I met a lot of nice people and people had fun, for the most part, I do regret creating the game and putting so much work into it, and feel like I would have been better off putting my time and energy into things I found more fulfilling. Everything that led up to the breakdown and current state of the game had to do with people being just awful to each other and the general atmosphere of RP being toxic under the surface and that is just not my bag and a bad place for me to be in, so I don't want to play in formal games anymore and just want to musebox with friends and gradually leave the RP sphere.

Sorry guys. Either Shae will find another few mods to do the possible plan or she'll release the game info for museboxing and shut down. Whatever you guys wind up having happening, I hope you have fun with it. I'd say keep in touch, but I don't really want to have anyone on my plurk other than close friends at this point.

As per the discussion and the fact that so many want the game to continue, the mods have decided to shake things in the game up a bit.

These are the steps in the proposed plan. If you have any issues with the plan, it is still open for discussion (other than step one) so discuss it in the comments.

Yep, bringing in Merida from Brave, which was. Only just released today, so I'll be posting spoilers warnings on her stuff for some time now.

On the planet, Joker is going to have multiple plans running, but one of them is going to be a Funhouse of Terror kinda thing, where there are lots of traps set up as jokes. Inside this funhouse are hostages, terrified and in desperate need of rescuing. This is more a plot for unpowered brainy people solving riddles than for fighters, who might have a chance predicting the unpredictable--the psyche of a madman.

This miniplot can support 3-4 people.

They won't get to take Joker down himself in the end, since I'll have multiple things going on with him, but they will be able to save the hostages, and will be able to stop his gang of scary clown people and circus freaks like Gorgeous Gilly and Harley Quinn.

Kicking off villainship, the first plot I bring you is very simple and straightforward: evil epic lich sorcerer Xykon has gotten ahold of a pretty dangerous magical ritual, and the crew needs to defeat him and destroy all information on said ritual before he uses it.

This is a straightforward battle against a very, very, very powerful lich, so for those of you interested in really cutting loose, here's your plot. I'll put it at four people to start with, but I may go up depending on the general power level involved.

Exams are over! HoorayHooray! But now I'm heading out west to teach and stuff for a week. Kind of like a working holiday? Sort of?

Basically, I'm out between the 25th and 29th of June. If you desperately miss me or really, really need to contact me for some reason, I should be able to receive emails and Tweets but it all depends on reception, because I'll be in the middle of nowhere (albeit, one of the bigger parts of 'the middle of nowhere' but still-!).

The first order of business: Due to RL, both Mala and Anders have decided they don't have the time to mod, so they've stepped down. The mod team appreciates their help, even if it was short-term, as it's been very hard modding with such a small team.

The second order of business: The mods have been talking about issues at the game for a while, especially in re: to the slowness and general lack of interest in the game, other than a few scattered parties here and there, and we need to discuss the potential option of shutting the game down.

The problem with endgame is and has always been that to really wrap things up, whether we do it in the fall or whether we did it back when these discussions first started, that it would take a lot of effort, enthusiasm, and cooperation among the playerbase to pull off. Any form of endgame, whether a shortened one or a longer one, one back then, one now, or one later, would have required that. The interest just does not really seem to be there, and it's too much work for such a small mod team to invest in something if nothing is really going to be done with it.

We want to gather the opinions of the playerbase on it. If we do end the game, we are not running endgame early. Just as we said when the issue was first brought up, we do not have the manpower for it. It was always something we would have needed some momentum going into and a lot of players riled up over and willing to help with it, which was why we needed to see if the game could pick up momentum again. We would, however, be willing to provide all the game materials and what was intended so players have the option of museboxing those things with other players if they were so inclined.

Ultimately, what happens next is up to the playerbase and we really need you all to self-examine and figure out if you're interested in the game anymore.

Hey guys, as you may recall, Cole was the only person who didn't get abducted when Brenda's distress call went out.

Cole sent out an omnicomm message two months ago in real time, but it will have only been a few minutes in-game, maybe a few hours.

I don't know the full details of how exactly this will work yet, but Cole's going to gather together, and then atttempt, to organize the cavalry in a rescue mission.

You want to sign-up and potentially kick Brainiac 4's ass, then reply below, and I'll add your name to the list.

Sorry for the delay, folks, but villainship Plot is go!

Stacy's Call to Action

People can ask questions of Stacy there or thread with each other with their characters wondering wtf is going on.

How this plot will be handled is each individual villain player that has a miniplot will do their own signups (so that they can edit their lists on the main post). All of those signups will be linked here, however. Each villain player can decide how many they want to have in their miniplot and how long it will run, though for the sake of timeliness, we need those miniplots to all at least start this week.

Villain players can make up whatever they need to do the affected worlds, in terms of levels of technology and culture. There's a variety of solar systems in this star system, with a variety of worlds, colonies, and moons. Villain players can have their villains teaming up with other villains on one planet or set their villainy on a planet by themselves. If any villain players have any questions about what they can do in terms of setting, there is a space in the comments where they can ask them. There's also a space where they can link up to their signup pages so they can be added to the list.

I just finished my last exam of my undergraduate life! =D

However, I have to move out, close bank accounts, do all the necessary closing of whatever misc. accounts I have, graduate, move back home so I'll still be busy for the next few weeks until the end of July.

The good thing is I'm back to tag! Just... slowly but still alive and tagging nonetheless!

Hey guys, I've noticed GL plot isn't moving. I had a spat of busy over the weekend so I couldn't npc, but I'm going to be in and out as far as that goes anyway, and when I was back there weren't many places I could npc when I got back because people hadn't tagged in in some places.

For those of you that don't have time to tag in, I really need to know if you don't have time for the plot so I can work around that for the other players or if you just need to be skipped for a round so that each miniplot can move for the other players. The latter is fine if you want to jump in later, but I need to know so I can let the other players know they can tag and keep their respective thing moving until you have time to jump in.

Hey! Zoki here. I just thought I'd let you know what I have on the horizon and get cracking with the planning, since it's two weeks away now. It's approved, but it's not on the calendar yet because I haven't been as clear as I should be with logistics. Hopefully this will help me get it ironed out!
