Fauxbellion Master Plotting Post
Saphie here, sorry for the late posting. Had a lot of errands today to get ready for my mom having surgery.
This is the fauxbellion information post and plotting masterpost! You might want to temporarily keep it bookmarked. As any pertinent IC links go up (such as channelposts, or new event/miniplots during fauxbellion), the links will go up here with descriptions of what's happening in them.
Plot-runners: Eileen, Saphie, Zoki. So you know who to bother for stuff, due to things with our RLs, I'll be doing the bulk of it to start with, with Eileen's help, but later in the week, Zoki will take over it more.
Plot Length: Two weeks. New plots will be starting next week, though, so a lot of the wrap-up will be backthreaded. If you need to backthread past two weeks, take all the time you need as that's just a suggestion, not a rule.
SIGN UP LIST/TEAMS
you can keep signing up or change your character's stance as the plot goes on. The post will be tracked so that it can be updated.
NPCING
NPC Journals - HERE | Info on Kessek/Daligig - HERE
Kessek are allowed to be npced by anyone in their tags or with
fate_favored. Daligig and Ghyll have to be npced by mods, so please contact us when you need npcing by linking in this post in the appropriate place in the comments below. (There's not actually many Daligig on the ship anyway, it's mostly Kessek enforcers and a few key Daligig figures). We'll be tossing Daligig into random things as we can, but let us know where any npcing is especially needed.
Keep in mind when npcing the Kessek that while they will be extremely brutal (see: Kessek ripping off Goliath's hand) they would be trying to keep fatal casualties low and not really take pleasure in enforcing against the crew. But they will do what they have to and obey the Daligig implicitly.
The Ghyll would just try to stay out of the way and not hurt anyone and actually be somewhat timid, so if crew members try to kill them willy-nilly it would almost be like the Kessek killing noncombatants/neutrals of the crew. That's not to say they can't be killed, though, if it'd be IC for the character to attempt it, but they'd be acting like scared little kids.
FAUXBELLION POSTS
Rhiow's Channel Post - HERE
The Council tells the crew the plan for the fake rebellion.
Allenby's Channel Post - HERE
Allenby rabbles together the rebels. (Fauxbels?)
Main Post - HERE
This post overall will be the one where the brunt of the fighting (and lack of fighting) takes place. Anyone can add a new subthread to it. When you do, list the location on the ship in the subject so we don't get repeats of different areas. Under each post goes the different threads people want to play in those areas. (If you're the OP and would like to post the location without getting notifs, you can use
meat_mooks for the initial location comment, (i.e. "Medbay," "the Hangar") password: here
Starting Attack Subthread - HERE
This is the initial starting attack led by Allenby and the only subthread that will be set up by the mods. It will be assumed that after this attack, the fight will spill onto the rest of the ship as the Daligig and Kessek try to put down the uprising and other crew members join in.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Stuff You Can Do
You guys can do almost anything with this. As long as locations aren't completely and totally destroyed (since some characters use them as residences) the ship can get really wrecked up in this plot, especially since fixing the damage can be something the brigged work crews are forced to do after. Ships in the hangar can get damaged, buildings can get damaged, characters will possibly need to sustain at least some injuries to make things convincing (so Medbay will be busy). Since they need to make this convincing, crew members can go about their usual duties (engineers fixing things, medics being medics) as well as faux-fighting. Since everyone is essentially acting parts, crew members can have fake verbal fights over independence or the war or whether everyone should be fighting.
This is more like a big event everyone reacts to than a plot with a set plotline.
That said, if you want to do something specific, and aren't sure if you can do it, just ask us here in the comments or contact us by email. We can also help give people thread ideas if they need help figuring out possible events.
Stuff You Can't Do
As of right now, they will not win the fight, so this is definitely going to be a losing battle for the fauxbellion in the end, with Warden-Stacy eventually interceding to shut them down. Assassination attempts can be made on the Daligig, but actually killing them is unlikely to happen also because of Warden-Stacy (though if someone gets creative, we'll let it be successful). Actual successful rebel stuff will happen during the actual rebellion.
TAGGING PLOT/POSTING DURING PLOT
The plot is for the most part a free-for-all, tagging-wise. If you have something specific planned with an individual person or people, you might want to label it [closed] or tossed up a separate closed post for it that takes place during the fauxbellion. Otherwise, we encourage people to threadhop and to try to tag in threads they see that are already up rather than throwing up new ones to get everyone all mixed up and doing stuff together.
As for normal posting and threading, you can definitely continue with those during the plot. If you know how things would end up with your character (brigged/not brigged), you can bendytime threads after the fauxbellion since we all know how it ends for the most part. If you're not sure, you can bendytime normal threading as happening before.
QUESTIONS/COMMENTS?
In the comments there are going to be four sections. One for plotting for the plot, where players can chitchat over possible things to do/roles to take/locations to have things happen in/find npcers for the fighting. One is for tossing up links to things that need mod npcing. One will be for tossing up links to any new posts that are made that need to be added (important channel posts, open miniplots happening during fauxbellion that aren't posted in the main post, etc.) And one will be for any questions for the mods.
Have fun, people! Vive La Resistance!

Because maybe Cole could go to town for some interrogation.

Character plotting
Zetta will be showcasing the full might of the Netherworld, which is to say, his minions will be pummeling people with fishing rods, balloons, boxes, and pies. (Seriously, these are all weapons in Makai Kingdom.)
Abby, meanwhile, will be unleashing his full wizardly might, inasamuch as all his spells will be save-or-suck or crowd control.
Anyone want to get in a brawl with either of these two?

Re: Plotting
Allenby's plan is to get the crew hanging out in unoccupied quarters near the entrance to the ~restricted area~ and give them flash grenades / frag grenades to people who can handle them. Then when she gives the signal, they lob them into the restricted area to soften up the Kessek before the charge.
When she picks up that the Ghyll are just trying to keep their heads the hell down, she'll tell everyone to ignore them and focus on the Daligig and Kessek (although chances are they'll be doing that anyhow since the Kesseks will be trying to non-lethally squash them and all).
I AM UP FOR DOING A LOT OF STUFF as far as Allenby is concerned, since she'll kind of be all over the place, so if you'd like her to kick ass with your person (or get into a fight if they're fake-siding with the Daligig) let me know! Since this plan is supposed to fail, she isn't doing too much strategizing beforehand--just enough that they have some chance of doing real damage to them before they have to retreat and start mock-fighting the other crew.
One thing that is definitely happening is Simon using Lagann to launch her into battle, though. KA-POW.

Character Plotting
So if the rebels need someone ridiculous to stand in their way, or if someone is going to need rescue from collateral damage in the city area she's game for that.

Re: Character Plotting
Ranger Plotting (w/Shou and others?)
Do we just go with Jamie as the rogue element, maybe with Shou helping and have a face off between the two factions that way? Kick some Kessek butt, have the pro-Daligig Rangers stop the pair. They could probably get it to look impressive enough given the training. Or just scrap the idea altogether?

I figured it'd be a good compromise, and it's not as though Jamie and Billy haven't faced off before, so it could be fun. I'll see about poking some of the others to get their thoughts on it.

A staged one, but still.

She's been able to rein in her temper on the ship, the tournament helped, but this much fighting breaking out around her is too much. It's going to take force to get her to stop.
