discussion part 2
I don't want to be spamming the OOC com, but on the other hand, I'm betting a lot of people don't want to have to wade through 100+ comments in the previous post. So I'm making a separate post with the Important Information from the last post, so that people can read/discuss it more easily.
1. Pending asking Kuroi when she returns, the mechanics are going to be moved over to be a sub-department of engineering, where they will work on servicing all the ships aboard stacy.
2. after a bunch of discussion, the tentative plan is to have the x-wings be their own squadron, the mobile suits to be their own squadron, and after next(?) podpop the macross characters to start a third squadron. All of these squads would be coordinated by a new "starfighter command" department.
2a. I've offered Tycho to be part of starfighter command, and for myself to do the work OOCly coordinating all the squadrons, to make sure that inter-canon CR is maintained. I hope no one feels like 'oh god Fiver's gotten a hold of it, now there's no place for my character to get involved'. If you want your character to be a part IC and if you want to help with the work OOCly, then please, speak up. I would be more than happy to spread the work around. Everyone's agreed though that inter-canon CR is very important, so I think it's important to have persons or peoples willing to do the coordination work OOC to make sure that happens.
3. We still need to pick when all this restructuring/the creation of starfighter command would happen ICly. Right now the suggestion is after the elections to have the new Captain issue orders for it. Anyone have any alternate ideas?
4. Karl and Funk have an idea for an aircraft carrier of sorts for all the fighter squadrons, however I don't know if they want to bring it up for discussion here yet, or what. Guys?
5. I know there's been discussions in chat about how the bridge crew/tactical department/idk other departments/etc will be organized. Could we get that discussion "on paper" as it were, for the people who weren't in chat/weren't paying attention when this was discussed in chat? Plz and ty <3
