WELL admittedly Merlin probably doesn't tell too many people about the dragon's breath part. BUT HE DOESN'T REMEMBER THE LAKE.
(Got it, no doing anything more than giving Merlin's pinky a papercut. I'm guessing his magic would get in the way?)
