REDUX (and reposted because I'm dumb.)
It's Pedro, bringing in an Avatar the last Airbender OC, the girl who has actually been convinced she was Katara all this time. Her name is actually Kaya, and she is a girl from the Northern Water Tribe who joined the Avatar soon after his defeat of the Phoenix King.
This was inspired by the Avatar's defeating of the Fire Nation fleet during the attempted Siege of the Northern Water Tribe, as well as seeing Katara be one of the first female wonder benders to train under one of her Masters to use her bending to fight. As the story stands, when she was brought to the ship, the similarities between her and Katara caused Stacy to give her Katara's memories and make her think she was Katara, hence why she was repodded, to restore the memories of her true identity.
She has actually trained under Katara, so she still has her waterbending, albeit slightly altered for her own style, and still has all the CR "Katara" gained on the ship. She will, of course, be pretty frantic waking up, having no idea how much time has passed or even if the GAang will know who she is, and one of the first actions I imagine will be encountering a wild Azula after pod pop. What a welcome!
