Send in the Clones
Another plot post! Before I can even build this plot and submit it to the plot queue for the mods, I need to get a general idea of how it will run, and how it will run depends heavily on character choices.
Rather than 7 Sins, which I'm probably gonna pass off to someone else to run, I'm going with Send in the Clones.
Here's the rundown:
Galilee's cloning and genetic technology is incredibly advanced, as is their medical tech. The planet is home to countless doctors and genegineers who keep its populace healthy and happy, that could be of great help to the injured in the war against the Ohm. However, part of why the happy populace is so happy is because they don't have to lift a finger to do any work. Their entire society is run on the backs of clones, mass-cloned to perform all the hard labor on the planet and marked by holographic caste marks branded into the skin. The clones are programmed to live for very few years at a time and receive only as much programmed education is necessary for them to do their work.
But there is a resistance, clones that secretly block their caste marks from being tracked, that pass along coded information, clones that seek knowledge read classic literature at risk of death to try to open their minds as much as they can before their short lives are over. Now the resistance movement is massing together a powerful force for one final fight against their oppressors, a final fight for their freedom. Will Stacy's crew help the clones at the risk of destabilizing a government they need as an ally? Will they help the government put down the uprising to win them over to their cause? Most importantly of all, if the crew decides to help quell the resistance, and some of them join the clone army to help them fight for their freedom can those supporting the Galilee government fight their own? Which side are you on, Meatcrew?
Basically, the government side will portray the clone resistance as terrorists and claim the clones are happy being slaves and well taken care of. They will insist on the crew helping put down the resistance in exchange for an alliance, which is the crew's mission objective. Stacy can give out Violations for outright working against the mission objective.
The clone side will claim the government keeps clones enslaved and too ignorant to understand their situation and that as clones get old enough to understand, they get less complacent.
The bad thing is this alliance would be an incredible boon. The medical tech could be given to the entire GIA making it so only the most extreme injuries, like head inuries and incineration could kill soldiers. It means every ship, from Stacy to all the Daligig and GIA ships, could eventually have medical tech installed that'd allow people to be brought back from everything but the most extreme injuries.
Characters well-suited for this plot: Diplomats, soldiers, superhero types, political types, clones, a few medical types. Overall character cap is 30 characters, one character per player, but I would like anyone interested to comment here so we can get an idea of the general trends of the choices characters would make. We understand that the character choices may change based on the plot, this is just to get a general idea to figure out the plot structure. It will hopefully be submitted in May and run Juneish.
Please comment with this, if interested:
Character Name:
Character Type/Profession: (Soldier, diplomat, superhero, some kind of descriptor)
Which Side Will They Choose: (Pro-clone, pro-government, refusing to take a side, switching sides?)
AN IMPORTANT NOTE: Everyone is going to have to re-sign up again later, closer to when it's going to be run. So please keep that in mind. This is not official signups, this is to figure out the plot structure.

Character Type/Profession: Superhero/clone
Which Side Will They Choose: Pro-clone
no subject
Character Type/Profession: Nurse
Which Side Will They Choose: Refusing to take a side, but sympathizing with the clones and wanting to help them.

Which Side Will They Choose: Nanoha is usually very understanding about things, but her fiancee and daughter are both clones, and if anyone tries to take them from her she *will* blow them up.
no subject
Character Type/Profession: Medic Ninja/Medical/Fighter
Which Side Will They Choose: Coming down the line, pro-clone.
Though as a note: she will try to stay neutral as long as she can. Her sentiments and attitude will pretty obviously not be aligned with the government's thought process and treatment of clones, but depending also on who's issuing commands and what her direct orders are, she'll try to keep a relatively even keel. Likely to follow Rory's lead (or anyone in medical or a position she respects); moralistic enough to want to interfere in ways leaning toward incapacitation, not death/destruction/the clones are also going about it wrong in hurting innocent lives, even if they're slobbish, apathetic lives. Or other clones.

He's not going to be as repulsed as the others by the clone's situation, though he won't be totally unmoved, but he prioritizes them getting AWESOME TECH first. If everyone else moves pro-clone, he'll go with them, because while getting tech is awesome, pissing off the rest of the crew is not.
