Keep in mind that sometimes a discussion can span a series of comments that argue back and forth until something is reached. The game discussion is for that, yes, but having a concise idea e-mailed to the mods with the final result will not only make it easier to know what you'd like to be done, but outlines the important details. It's not a question of jumping into hoops into doing something - think of it more akin to having a crowd agree on an idea, and then having someone e-mailing the outline the mods on an idea they really, really have to heart or is important to them to make sure that the mods know where they stand. It saves us time from having to look over all those comments and checking which ones had the right conclusion and makes it faster to answer, giving everyone more time to play in the game.
