MODPLOT - REBELLION POLL

Okay, so rebellion against the Daligig seems in short order. I'm gathering up the options for the final result first, like for the main action/final status quo.

Here are the options. This post will be left up for discussion for a bit so a people can take a look, just to make sure all the options we have are on here, and then there will be a poll, which will be left open for a couple days.

FULL REBELLION OPTIONS

This is all short-term stuff. BAM, they rebel.

OPTION A - DESPERATION RUN
This is a full open rebellion, where they just try to fight their way free and gun it. Because of the lack of plan, there are lots of messy casualties and they get out with very few resources. They bust Stacy's brain free/take control. The group cuts off all ties with the Daligig and GIA and is declared completely rogue. Devoid of resources, they have to make their way through a hostile universe, beset on all sides by the Daligig, Ohm, Catastrophists, the villainship, and space pirates.

Game Tone: Dark and actioney, survival, very little slice-of-life

Missions: Chosen by the crew, provided by the tapestry, and a glitch creates missions for some people. Most are geared towards survival and fighting a losing war on multiple fronts.

OPTION B - TRICKY REBELLION
The crew puts on a mock rebellion. It's put down by other members of the crew, possibly Command, but it's all a ruse to gain the Daligig's trust and make them think the crew will do anything for the war effort. The Daligig hand over the keys to the ship as a result--not total control, but enough for the crew to band together and take back more control for themselves. The exact moment the Daligig leave, they bust Stacy's brain free and abuse that trust to finally free themselves and go forth and kick ass with the Daligig swearing vengeance. They hide from the Daligig in the Bleed or wherever convenient, make themselves scarce, bide their time, get information when and where they can. They get cloaking technology from worlds that offer it. Use magical, mystic, psychic, technological means, whatever to make sure they can't be found. They make alliances independently with the GIA and other forces and offer to cooperate with the Daligig if necessary for missions -- but on the crew's terms, with small detachments of the crew to help on missions that the crew agrees to take on while the majority remain on the ship, hidden in an undisclosed location.

Game Tone: They're on the lam! Things are tough sometimes, and getting more and more dangerous, but there's still hope, and now they're carving their own path. Slice-of-life stuff isn't as common, but there's still time try to live and be happy during wartime.

Missions: Crew-chosen. Many missions are chosen by them, such as missions to find out more about their enemies. Some missions are picked up willingly by eavesdropping on Daligig/GIA intel sources. Some worlds have heard of them independently and now that they're becoming known as the Threadwalkers, ask for their help. Some are provided by the Tapestry. Stacy still is a tiny bit glitchy/the Warden still has one last glitch in effect, so that there are a rare few missions they get forced on, for characters who wouldn't otherwise go on missions.

SECRET REBELLION OPTIONS

These are long-term options, where there's a tense, long-term subterfuge thing.

OPTION C - LONG-TERM SECRET REBELLION
The Crew covertly frees Stacy, but still continues to work with the Daligig. While working with them, the crew spies on the Daligig and works to undermine them. They find new allies that can help them as in Option B, and then finally overthrow/turn tables on the Daligig. Slice-of-Life occurs naturally, at least until they turn traitor.

Game Tone: Mostly the same, with a sense of urgency and suspense as they get closer to betraying the Daligig. A fair bit of secret rebellion. Slice-of-Life still viable.

Missions: Daligig-forced missions are still done, because they're faking that they still have to. Missions are done to secretly gain allies that will assist them in the final showdown against the Daligig. The Tapestry provides some. Stacy still kicks out a few.

OPTION D - FAKED OPEN REBELLION FIRST, THEN SECRET REBELLION
The crew stages a fake rebellion, aware that it will fail, to trick the Daligig. After it fails, sympathizers ally themselves with the Daligig, against their own crewmates, to gain the Daligig's trust. The sympathizers then spy and use subterfuge to eventually wrest the ship free from the Daligig's grasp.

Game Tone: Darker and more oppressive under a dystopian government, with emphasis on cleverness, sabotage and information-sharing. Slice of life is more limited.

Missions: Daligig-forced, Stacy-provided, Tapestry-provided, Stacy-enforced.

EXTRA OPTION - TIME TRAVEL

Time Travel: The crew attempts a rebellion without success. Due to time traveling artifacts kept on the ship, the characters are given the opportunity to go back, having learned from their mistakes, and rebel a second time - this time wiser, better equipped, and more prepared. If people vote for this, we'll then discuss and vote on how their first attempt goes. The second, successful attempt will be whatever the players decide in this poll.

If I've missed any, please say so in the comments and they will be added. Then I'll create the poll.

EDIT: Poll is up! They can only be made with paids, so it's here!
