I think the issue here is not that people think it's unreasonably high but that some players might play out a lot of very goal-based threads where they get what they wanted to accomplish done in just five comments per player and want an alternative where they can count multiple short threads if possible, which is fair to ask for. Especially since some people actively participate in group threads and might have an overall thread that's like thirty comments, but they only tagged in 8 times but contributed significantly...

We have to look at it from the perspective of being a plotty game with a lot of group threads, too. I don't think doing that is seeing it as unreasonably high or necessitating abandoning the idea of AC and it's good they brought up their concerns.
