Oh goodness. Hello, masses of people! I am Cheeta, playing as my OC character 'Aeneas'. Can't believe I managed to get him accepted a day before podpop! I also can't believe I managed to find the "post" button on this site so quickly--normally it takes me at least fifteen minutes (it only took me five minutes this time. :3 I am so proud! *sniff* ).
Anywho, so while I've been roleplaying and otherwise writing stories and developing characters for the better part of six (nearly seven) years, this has all been done in Word documents and Proboards; therefore, Livejournal will continue to absolutely confound and amaze me for the simplest reasons for at least another month and a half before I finally get my bearings. Until then, please humor me. I will try my best not to cause too many keyboard-shaped bruises upon others' foreheads while I am here, but it'll be difficult. :3;;
Looking forward to podpop tomorrow!

Be honest, did you design this character in Spore?

This is my first LJRP too, so no worries. If you have any questions, though, feel free to email/AIM/whatever me or any of the other newbie helpers (http://cityship.livejournal.com/10462.html). (It's what we're here for! :D)

I can definitely identify with how odd LJ seems at first after playing on forums for so long, that's how I learned to RP. The thing that got me at first was how one post rapidly fragments off into a bunch of little one on one threads rather than everyone jumping in at the same time, but you do get used to it.
Hmm, lessee, other helpful things I can offer... Don't mind me if you got 'em already.
1) If you have multiple livejournal accounts that you shuffle between regularly (such as, say, character journals), there is an extremely helpful firefox addon called ljlogin that lets you switch between them without having to go through the log in/log out screen.
2) Livejournal's built in notifications are really helpful, I only figured out to use them after a few months of forgetting threads. >.> It's set on default to email you whenever somebody replies directly to a comment you made.
3) Livejournal is notorious for eating posts, they just vanish into thin air sometimes and reappear hours later or never. Another firefox addon called Lazarus can help because it saves things you put in forms, though its memory needs cleared out sometimes.
4) If it ever looks like LJ is dead for any reason, check here: Livejournal Status. It'll say if there's maintenance going on. Usually.
Um. That's all that's coming to mind for now. XD But feel free to grab ahold of me, contact's on the moddy list, if you need any help. :) (I'm just gonna be a bit busy academically for the next couple weeks.)
