HOWDY ALL. This is your friendly neighborhood Saphie here. As I've said before, I'm aiming to get my schoolwork done as soon as possible to finish up my semester, but now I've got some crazy incentive to do so, because whether I'm done or not, the next podpop is scheduled for:

Friday, January 9th, at 8PM EST

As is apparent, that's a LOT of people, and even with multiple mods tagging, it's going to likely take tagging over the weekend to get them all ready to go. That's why if you're busy on Friday, don't worry about it, because you can tag in anytime over the next few days after.

The AIM gamechat will likely be running starting Friday evening. boardthemeatship, if you self-invite. If you don't know how to, ping a mod and they'll invite you.

Hurrah! This marks the restart of the game after the holiday break. After everyone's integrated in, we'll be moving on to our next big plot, and then onto the first mission.

Older players, be ready this weekend for your guys to meet the new people! Also, as soon as I'm officially back, I'll be going back for the finishing touches to bugplot, and will help drive that to a cleaner wrap.

Do I need AIM to get into chat? My other problem is that I'm not usually on until later, like around 11pm Eastern. Can I come in a little later? If not I can try to make it earlier.

The chat is on aim, yes, although you certainly don't have to be in it to play, it's just a place to chill when we're playing.

As for 11 pm, that's fine. We'll likely still be going by then. Podpops usually take a few days to get them all done and get everyone in and meeting the people already there. Friday will just be when that starts. It goes however long it has to, to get everyone in.

Although aim is free. Some people just make an AIM account to use to be contacted when they RP and only log on while they're RPing. So if you want to hang with us, you might want to consider doing that. The chat's not mandatory, it's just fun. =D

If downloading AIM gave your computer syphilis like it did mine, you can always get Trillian and then get a friend to set up your AOL account. That's how I did it ^^

Actually, I think you can just set up the aim account from the aim.com site without even needing to download. Lemme check.

That's their screen-name reg page. You can just register, I think, and yeah, use trillian or even an in-browser dealy like meebo.com.

I think you can register without downloading on account of some people just use aim express, so they need a way to get a screen name without downloading.

Zita here, another newbie.

I've been using another program called Pidgin that I think should work just fine, if this is an issue for anybody. Apparently if you have an AOL email address it means you've automatically got a screen name, I think.

Pidgin's free and can use both MSN and AIM at once (nice) but the thing I like best about it is that it doesn't integrate itself into my system and make me want to BURN THINGS.

You have to tell it what your SN's are and it will remember them for you. It makes my life better.

AWESOME, I'm all geeked up and excited already. My schedule can be a touch unpredictable because my parents have this irritating habit of neglecting to tell me things, but I'm pretty sure I can make it on Friday. (/has no life)
