Activity Check! Jan 20 - 31
Activity Check is here! And it's easy-peasy.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Post here with a statement with your user-handle, like so:
SAPHIE is still here!
Please use the user handle you sent us in your app, that you're on the contact list with. We compare to the Contact List to do the check.
2. Newbies are exempt. If you're a new player that has either had a character podpopped this month or a new player that just got accepted this month, don't worry about it.
3. Hiatuses. Don't bother doing the check if you've already announced a hiatus, slowatus, or the like--we'll check the hiatus tag for people who said they wouldn't be around.
4. Lack of Response. Whoever doesn't post will get an email after the end of the check, when we've tallied everything up. They will have a week to respond to the email, and if they don't, they'll get another email informing them they've been booted. If they respond, they have to hit up the next activity check (barring a hiatus announcement or the like), or they'll automatically be booted with no email.
5. Das Boot. If you get booted and didn't get a chance to put up a hiatus message, and it was just a slip of the memory, you lost your internet, some kinda LIFE thing happened, it's okay. Just let us know. Stuff happens, and this is just to weed out the people who've lost interest and wandered off without saying, not to punish people who've had bad luck or busyness or absent-mindedness or whatever. We'll put you back in if something like that has happened, even if it's even an accidental "Crud, I just forgot what week it was!" It's really nothing personal, it's not irreversible, it's just an administration thing.
6. Honesty. Please take a look at your characters and the activity of each. If you have inactive characters, and you've been busy, lacking inspiration, feeling blah, but intend to get active with them again, awesomesauce. Now might be a good time to hunt down someone to play with, contact the mods for a part in upcoming plots, or post the OOC asking folks for CR ideas. But please be honest with yourself whether or not you'll be active with the character again. We care more about players just hanging around, than specific characters being active, so we're leaving it up to the players to judge whether or not they've still got it in 'em to get active with a character--we'll only step in if it seems like someone is character squatting for a significant amount of time.
7. When the check ends. The check ends the same time Apps close.
1/31 - 11:59 EST | 2/1 - 4:59 AM GMT
This means, we send the Poke email on 2/1, and people have to answer it by 2/7.
