Old player with a new face

Hey, meatship! It's been a while! Some of you might remember me and several probably don't, but I'm Kes and I used to play the other Brainiac 5 (aka Deadbot), Ahava, and Jamie Madrox. School stuff happened and I took a break for a bit, but I'm back and tentatively jumping back in with a new character (and considering the possibility of bringing back one or two old ones).

So I'm bringing in ~~a madman with a box~~ ~~a bowtie-wearing alien~~ the eleventh incarnation of the Doctor! He's post season 5, so he's just done saving all of space and time. Again. So clearly the next step is to help out with saving the multiverse. I'm going to try and be a spoiler-free as possible with him, since there might be people still watching the season or just not wanting massive spoilers all over the place, but if people want to leave me a note to be extra careful while threading with them, feel free to do so here or in his HMD post.

Looking forward to catching up with everything and playing with you all again next podpop!

...okay sorry I just. Like Eleven XD also I may need to ask you if you are interested in a Timey Wimey plot I'm hoping to do sometime, since the other Doctors have already expressed an interest in it ans OH GOD DOCTORS EVERYWHERE THIS IS AWESOME

I WOULD LOVE A TIMEY-WIMEY PLOT. :D And other Doctors! My favourite old!Who stuff was always the ones with multiple Doctors and I've been really wanting to bounce him off some other Doctors as well.

Hopefully I will live up to your expectations!

I've only seen New Who myself, so I'm not familiar with Five, BUT HE IS THE DOCTOR AND THEREFORE HE MUST BE AWESOME. (Also I love Ten too XD)

As for the Timey-Wimey plot, there's a basic outline of it here, which I think pretty much covers the gist of it.

...It probably says a lot that my first reaction after reading that was to spend a good hour trolling through the TARDIS wiki page to see if there was anything that could be tweaked to work. XD;

But it sounds like a lot of fun, not to mention awesome for anyone who wants an age-up/de-age effect!

That's why I thought it up! ~~that and the fact that I possibly have a thing for time plots...~~ It pretty much exists as a way to change canon points (forwarding them to a later canon point is relatively easy, but moving them to an earlier canon point without completely resetting them...well, that clearly requires some Timey Wimeyness XD)

Though, at this stage I don't know if it'll involve others or just Marco. Obviously, that's up to the mods since that would make the plot affect the ship at large even more than it already would.

Also the more Doctors involved in this the better

Oh yes! Um. In my glee it seems I have forgotten to introduce myself /headdesk. I'm Blue, and I play this guy here - Marco from Animorphs. I don't think I ever met you when you were here before, so it is nice to meet you!

Most of what I was finding was either extenuating circumstances or technology-based, sadly. But still, a virus or something with a similar effect would hardly be weird by DW standards. XD Oh! Or maybe you could have it as some sort of alien micro-creature that feeds on chrono-energy, and some people have a weird reaction that reverses the effect... Gah, I am not going to stop wondering about this now, sorry. DX I need an off-switch for my brain.

Okay, now I'm just downright convinced a plot centered around timey-wimey people needs to happen, because all I could think during the latest season was 'I have a character that was erased from time. Who travels through the cracks in time. Who's people are a little bit responsible for making those cracks. Most. Play. With. Eleven.'

Also, this has convinced me. I'm apping Rory. ~~If I can get a good handle on his voice~~

A timey-wimey plot with multiple Doctors and companions and everyone else would be fantastic. And man, that sounds like an awesome coincidence! They should at least chat about it some time.

So much amazing growth and development over a season. *__* If you're looking for a place to practice, I know a musebox where an Amy has been kicking around recently? It's casual and a bit slow, but I don't think she'd mind and I could link you our current thread to take a look and see what you think?

Hehe, he's already been semi-yelled at by the other Doctors for it, so he's got a bit of short fuse right now. Fair warning - if Eleven calls him an anomaly, Rei might just punch him in the face. But if they can get beyond that, Rei would love to ramble about the cracks in time to someone that actually knows a thing or two about them already.

Rorrrrrrry! Rory is fantastic and awesome and I adore him and he didn't become Mickey 2.0 which is great and afladjdkfdd *fangirls*. Also, the events that happened to him allowed for this (http://community.livejournal.com/ihasatardis/2175454.html#cutid1) (spoilers, in case anyone else is reading through this, for Pandorica Opens/Big Bang) to be made. And I'd love to take a look at your thread! :D

Well to be fair, the ones in DW were cracks in the skin of the universe, which is a bit different, but he'd probably still be able to apply it to what Rei is familiar with? Can't comment on how they'll go together to start with though, since he can surprise me. We'll just have to see what happens!

Very yes on the Mickey 2.0 part! So glad I wasn't the only one sitting there hoping that wouldn't happen. XD And that is awesome! I'll have to go through the site later for more macros.

It's been a lot of fun and good practice, and I could always ask if she minded having a Rory to play off sometimes?

Yeah, the cracks in Rei's verse are cracks in the fabric of time, caused by changes in the past that are always subtly rewriting the present/future. Not quite as malevolent as the DW cracks, but they can still erase people from existence. There are a few people like Rei, called the Guardians of Time, that survive being wiped from existence, and they're considered living cracks themselves, because they can move through the cracks and effect the time line in bigger ways then most humans. I've got some more information on it here (http://watchwith3hands.livejournal.com/1644.html).

If/When I get around to playing Rory, I'm planning on taking him from a rather spoilery place, just kinda fyi, but I'd love to have somewhere to practice him! It may be a while before his journal is ready, though, since I'm still working on his bio/reviewing the source.

Thank you! I'm looking forward to playing off of Five and Ten as well, since I've never had the opportunity to play against other Doctors before. It should be fun!

No, he's not. Plus it's got to be grating to see someone like Eleven running around being Eleven ("I lick objects and sometimes miss glaringly obvious details!") and realising that's going to be you one day. And he's older than you.

He can always apply to be called 'The Sane Doctor'?

That's kinda what he's turning out to be. Not to mention that the older Doctors have classified Five as their "conscience"--too bad that he's not more headstrong, otherwise this might actually help him sometimes. Because we know what actually happens:

Ten/Eleven: /yelling, directing, doing random things and being bossy
Five: Uhm, Doctors...Doctors I think we should...I don't think you should lick that...er...

I was so, so happy when I heard we'd be getting an Eleven. I have been wanting to bounce Ten off an Eleven pretty much since this series started airing. CANNOT WAIT.

Also, hi! I'm Aubrey, relatively new here, and Ten's my only character at the moment. Ten won't appreciate Eleven's existence at all, but he doesn't get an opinion. *...goes back to squeeing and bouncing*

OH HELL YES. I loved reading some of Ten's threads around the game and it'll be interesting to see how he takes the next Doctor to pop up being the one immediately after him. Awkward to say the least. XD

.... oh dear. I still haven't watched End of Time yet (nuuuuuu ten nuuuuuu ;A; ) so I clearly haven't watched any eleven either ...... obviously I need to work on getting caught up. X|

No worries, I can keep spoilers to a minimum! And seconding the 'nuuuuu ten T__T' as well. Even having gone through a bunch of Doctors before, it's still sad. (Plus Ten works the puppy look very well XD)

I am happy happy that you are coming back. And happy happy happy HAPPY that there will be an 11. Jamie will not be as happy as if there was a Two waking up, but at least this one has the good sense to wear a bowtie. And it's a Doctor, so yay! Please feel free to glomp all over him at pod-pop. I don't mind.

Also, if you decide to bring back Ahava at some point, I believe we still owe each other a picnic. :)

Glomping will definitely happen! Possibly with a side of "Hello, Jamie blah blah blah... *SUDDEN REALISATION JAMIE IS THERE*" XD And he does have the very good sense to wear a bowtie. ...and occasionally a fez. Not sure how Jamie would take that last detail though.

Doctors in strange hats are not really a problem. Two has worn the occasional odd hat or scarf on his head from time to time. And Five's got the Panama hat, come to think about it.

Strange men in bow-ties who start talking to Jamie like they know him will probably get a bit more of a reaction, though. :)

Good point! XD Since he'll likely just start talking like he knows Jamie, and then being thrilled that Jamie is there, and then wondering why Jamie is there and just leaving Jamie to try and jump in and catch up all on his own.
