Aliens Plot Part Deux

Part 2 of aliens plot is up. HERE.

Captured group, I need someone who might have a chance of getting free. This can be as simple as someone's wrist just being a little loose, a hidden knife they can juuust reach, something like that. I have a way of doing it with Hiccup, but I'd rather pass the ball over to one of you, so who would like to have their character be the lucky person to free them, and what method would they employ? Please comment here.

If no one else really wants to do it I could have Jamie do the wrist-kinda-loose thing and then using a screwdriver or somesuch to chip through the alien gunk, since I'm guessing the aliens didn't confiscate everyone's crap before stringing them up.

I AM NOT WEDDED TO THIS IDEA HOWEVER. So if anyone else wants the opportunity please please say so and don't feel like I'm insisting upon taking it for myself. D:
