Intro
Hi! New player coming in. I'm Camille, and I'll be bringing in the Eleventh Doctor from Doctor Who: he's a 907(ish) year-old Time Lord who may or may not be lying about his age, among other things. He's not much into the whole fighting...thing, so I'm sure he'll find another way to be useful around the ship. Maybe a good poke around, because he can't resist being curious and Stacy's an impressive girl.
I'm not positive yet on a specific canon point (will know before the pod pop) but I'm looking forward to playing with you all!
If you would like to chat or ask me questions, I can be contacted through PM or Plurk @ timefreeze

I would not be adverse to PDFs 8D.Yes, I was about to say he looks familiar, from Midnight? How is the show in tone?

Just let me know if you'd like them, and I can email them to you or somethingYup, Midnight
and for this reason there does exist fanfiction that has Merlin and Jethro actually being the same person- it's up to you whether you want the Doctor to notice the similarity though. I'm fine either way!Ooooh, are you thinking of watching it? It is awesome fun! As for tone, it's very much in the "family show" category.
Although that didn't stop the creators from putting subtext like everywhere. And between everyone. And mostly, the tone's pretty lighthearted - though, there are darker moments. Also, there's a lot of playing around with Arthurian myth, naturally - the creators clearly know a lot about the mythology, but they also turn it on it's head a lot. Like, Arthur and Merlin are around the same age, and Guinevere is Morgana's maid.no subject
Oh, that's a cool plot thing. I think he could probably just assume he's an ancestor or relative somehow? Since he'd probably at least figure out the timeline is wrong before...stuff.
Yes, I'm thinking of watching it! I kept seeing people tossing up links for the later seasons and I've heard a decent amount about it being interesting so I'm getting increasingly more tempted.

He could! Whatever you like, really. (I'm not sure how much the Doctor knows about the Merlin in his verse. I've seen mentions though about how apparently the Doctor is meant to be Merlin? I have no idea where that came from though - Old Who, if anything - so I can't say whether that's true)
Oh! Also, in Merlin's canon - magic is illegal. On pain of death. So expect some initial freaking out when random people suddenly know about his magic :P
You should! It is awesome fun XD

Well, I think we can probably fudge around it, especially with Who canon being...weird with being canon. Like I'm not even sure how to place the audio books within TV stuff. But the ancestor thing could be probably the most workable for now.
Oh dear! Yes. And...something about a trollface dragon? (Clearly I hear all the relevant bits).

Yush, Who canon is...big and huge and complicated. I have to say, I always admire anyone who can play the Doctor, because wow. (The only Who canon characters I'd ever be able to pick up would be like...companions and the like)
Fff I haven't heard trollface dragon before! Though there is a dragon. And a troll. (Mostly he gets called the Slash Dragon because he goes on about Merlin and Arthur having a destiny together a lot)
(aaaand emails are sent, so you should have the pdfs now! 8D)

That sounds pretty slashy 8D
Thank you, I got it! Also, thank you for the chronology list, that should be very helpful.

(see, I told you that this show puts subtext everywhere XD)
No problem!
