Yet another new character
Guess what meatship, you're getting a Sarah Kerrigan!
This is Anna and I'm bringing in the main villain from 2 out of 3 Starcraft games (if you count Broodwars as separate instead of an expansion). But it's more complicated than that.
Basically Sarah Kerrigan was brainwashed to be a government assassin but she was freed by Arcturus Mengsk and worked for his rebel/terrorist group. After a mission where she was sent to call the zerg in on a planet, she was left behind by Mengsk. Instead of being killed she was transformed/zergified into the evil Queen of Blades. As the Queen of Blades she took command of the zerg and killed billions of people. That's the short summary of Starcraft 1. Now for the Starcraft 2 summary.
James Raynor, Sarah Kerrigan's almost ex lover discovered that Kerrigan is essential to the survival of basically everyone. Using these alien artifacts he recovered, he was able to deinfest her. Starcraft 2 ends with him carrying a now human Kerrigan off.
What all this means? Kerrigan has been seriously nerfed both by the deinfestation and the Daligig (who experimented on her like they did to Aang). She's still psychic and can read minds but it's all very, very hazy. For people who don't want her to read their character's minds I'm using this as a reason. While for those who might not mind/want her to I can say that she took a bit more effort or it was a little easier to do.
Oh, and while her telepathic and telekinetic skills are nerfed, she can still kill you 50 billions ways. She's not evil any longer and desperately wants to atone for her crimes. But she has severe PTSD which means she will easily fly off the handle if provoked and reacts very negatively to being startled in any way, so I do expect she will get violations. If you're tagging me and do something that will make her lash out I'll warn you and talk to you to see if you still want to play it out. I'll have her hold back and not kill anyone, don't worry, but she might severely injure them (or not so severely depending on what we work out). This should get better over time, partly as she adjusts to the situation and partly as characters learn not to mess with her.
Whoa, sorry for the tl;dr. She's just such a complicated character and I'm totally jazzed to play her. And kinda nervous. XD
