Ok, so after talking with mods and such, Katara, it appears, has become too OOC for her to any longer be in the game without calling her an OC. As such, the ultimatum was this: I retcon and make her an OC, or pod her. Either way, there will be a new Katara soon.

So, Katara and Hit Girl are going back into the pods. Guys, I cannot express how happy I've been to gain CR and play with each and every one of you. The past two years have been wonderful because of all of you, and its consistently been the high point of my day. No matter what slinging has occurred or things have been said, I've always just loved, loved playing the game so much. For those of us that became friends as a result of this, I hope to continue that friendship with each and every one of you. Thank you so much for making playing such a blast, and if you want to RP outside of this, just give me a ping at elpedrososama on AIM or PM me on this journal.

I hope you guys love and care for the new Katara as much as this one. Take care.

Ah SCREW IT. I'll take the retcon. So I'm podding Katara until April. Even if it isn't the canon...this ship needs A Katara.

You know how I feel about this. Thanks so much for everything you've given me---how much joy that was is inversely proportional to the amount of heartbreak and hell Billy's about to go through.

I'm really, really sorry about this, to you especially. I never wanted Billy to have to go through this. I really hope he'll cope, and I'm so glad that he met Ronnae in time.

...and now you definitely haven't. I just wish I could tell Billy that she'll be back in some form in a week so he'd stop tracking stuff all over the pod caverns.

I'll admit I wasn't sure how to respond to this, but it feels wrong to say nothing at all, so I'll just try my best.

I just want you to know nothing was personal, I like you as a player, I even like the character you're playing, even if there were issues there that needed resolving and we couldn't agree about how to resolve them, and I'm sorry to see you go. Also while I know of some people to possibly ask that might be able to app quickly, we don't have another Katara waiting in the wings or anything. It wasn't really calculating or anything like that. When we critted, we were more worried about fixing things to everyone's mutual satisfaction than anything.

That's all I can say, I guess. I hope you find somewhere else to play that you enjoy.

I decided I still want that to be this place. When it really comes down to it, I'm not someone that can just leave my character to oblivion. I care about them and the CR and all.

That said, I'd definitely like your and the other's input over what I do with her NOW. Do she keep her powers, is her history, say, going to reflect more of the new airbender's time line? The only thing I am primarily concerned about is the CR: I want to keep all of it. It's part of what makes this character what she is, and not something I'm willing to give up.

I'm really glad you're staying. And the CR thing is a definite--we made sure of that when talking to the mods, that you'd be able to keep it.

What the mods suggested is some memory shenanigans. So alllll the CR happened but their memories were accidentally altered so they thought she was their Katara and even she thought she was and then they get fixed and they realize she wasn't. That way everything happened as it happened, but from here on out, things can change so she remembers her real background.

That said, that background could maybe be a LOT like Katara's? Maybe she could be from the Northern Tribe or something, post-war, and have a very similar background--or even teamed up with the Gaang post-war or something?

I know Anders had some ideas to offer you, and I have a few, and maybe the others might, and at the very least we could work out her new place in the Gaang (because we'd love to have her still be a part of the Gaang). So would you like to maybe do a chat and toss some ideas around sometime in the next few days? That way you could just pick and choose from the ideas we offer and work any you might like in with your own. At the very least we could work out her joining the Gaang.

That sounds fine U'm going to be working nights most of this week, but it'll be after 9ish when get back. Today I have off (the ONLY day I have off) and I do have Wednesday mostly since I only work until 2 as it is my birthday. But this sounds like it could definitely work with her being Northern Water Tribe. I'll get in touch with Anders when I can and see what we can work out.

I definitely still want her involved with GAang, so I'll try and grab you guys when I can.

Seriously though, I hope these two can still interact more. Mai seems disinterested in so much, and this OC Katara would still like to get to know her better, as a person, not just Zuko's girlfriend.

So can I say honestly I wasn't expecting this? Yes, I can. I'm really shocked and really sorry it ended up like this :(

I really love you as a player and I was happy to have been building such heavy CR with you. I wish you nothing but the best wherever you go, and hope that you will be happy.

I really do like playing this RP, and I've gotten far too happy here to just leave it and all of you so easily.

I am so glad to hear you're taking the retcon. And I'm really sorry that it turned out this way at all, I'm really glad you'll be sticking around as a player, and I'm really glad this character will be sticking around the ship as well. I really hope we can keep playing with no hard feelings and that this will turn out to everyone's satisfaction.

I hope the same thing. I had really hoped I could resolve things for all involved, but if it can't be that way, I can at least work toward something that will satisfy everyone.

And I still do hope that these two can still do something together.
