No - the shoreleave just lasts one week. The rest of the plot happens on the ship, except for the final part which is a mission that will resolve the plot.
So, basically there's three main sections, roughly speaking: - shore leave, which is a week long and is where this event gets kicked off - on the ship (this is the bulk of the plot, and does involve mini-sections like people realising what's happening, finding out why, and generally trying to fix it. You'd have to ask the mods to be sure, but this is also when I'm guessing most of the alternate plots will be happening) - the mission to fix it, which will probably be around 1-2 weeks, and will be right at the end. this is also off-ship, and will involve DIPLOMACY
