Feel free to continue backposting on Part Alpha! I'll keep NPC backtagging as long as people keep tagging me back, so just let me know if I'm needed. In the meantime, let's move onto the next phase of the plot.
SUBTHREAD THE FIRST: Comfortably Numb
This section takes place at a banquet hosted in honor of the crew. Chronologically, it takes place after about a week in the village. The villagers go all out in making a huge feast and a huge bonfire, and good times are had. The feast is followed up by somebody breaking out the local's favorite liquor-- banni, the hallucinogenic one (or tea, for those who don't drink.)
I'm sure you can all see where this is going.
After an evening of drunken shenanigans, all the Nerd Herd and their bodyguards head for bed (or just collapse where they are.)
And then shit gets real...
SUBTHREAD THE SECOND: Without the Box of Scraps
... when everybody wakes up tied up, in a cave.
That's right, the liquor/tea was drugged and the entire Nerd Herd and their bodyguards are kidnapped while they're unconscious. A group of locals, whose agenda shall be revealed in good time, are threatening to kill the scientists if they don't get a hefty ransom paid to them by the ship. All characters will be tied up/prevented from moving by some method, and those with powers will find that there is a power-nullifier device inside the cave.
They will also find that the kidnappers have a variety of guns and other weapons highly suspect of such a backwater low-tech group.
There will be "mingling" threads in this section as well as an opportunity to communicate with the kidnappers. NO ESCAPE ATTEMPTS YET-- that will happen in the NEXT phase of plot.
SUBTHREAD THE THIRD: Get Your Hands Off the Nerds, You Damn, Dirty Apes!
The kidnappers contact the main ship with their ransom demand. This thread is open for all characters still on Stacy who want to react to the kidnapping-- Action People, this might be a good time to enter yourself into plot. If you're not involved in the plot otherwise, you can still feel free to insert yourself into this plot for commentary.
Again, no rescue attempts just yet-- that will also happen in the NEXT phase of plot. This is just the part where you get angry and yell vague threats at the kidnappers.
This part is short with a lot of conversation and mingling amongst yourselves, so have at! As usual, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me here or to hit me up on my AIM at FullArmoredGG. You can also feel free to use this post to plot with each other.

Also, if I wanted to have a not super big injury happen to an arm, should I do that here or have it happen later? Or maybe just have a slight adverse reaction to whatever was in the tea in case that doesn't work.
