I'm all moved in - not unpacked yet, but at least the frantic box-moving has stopped. We drove forever. I have an adorable new husky mix who needs a lot of supervision, discipline and brushing (oh god he sheds so much).

Welcome back, and congrats on the puppy! Husky mixes are awesome - though brushing will always be a big thing, oh yes. We thankfully just shaved ours for the summer - she's much happier now.

We still have unresolved the question of Abby/Celena's efforts to siphon off some of Thom's excess magical power! I'm open to any resolution you'd prefer. :)

I believe there was a crystal mentioned? That seems like it would be the easiest thing to do/handwave, since there's a similar precedent for that kind of thing within his own magic system.

Of course blowing things up real good with fire would also expend quite a bit of magical energy, but wouldn't provide a contained sample on which to experiment.
