The Daligig And You -- A Primer For All Your Daligig-Related Needs
As has been mentioned ICly, the Daligig will finally be making their first in-person introduction to the crew soon. This little write up here is to tell you how this will work and how this will affect the game, so if you're interested, please read on and pay attention.
ICly, the Daligig are sending over a small brigade lead by about a dozen or so actual Daligigs, along with a number of Kessek warriors (see below), all of which are there to oversee repairs performed by the Ghyyl (once again, see below for details). OOCly, they will only be around for about a month, and will not interfere with any private or public plots going on. They'll remain long enough for people to try and find out a few more things about the Daligig, but not long enough to get all the answers. Basically, this is just our way of finally giving some more answers (and, possibly, questions) about exactly who the crew's supposed saviors are.
The Daligig
There will only be a dozen or so actual Daligig aboard the ship because--as the crew will find out--the Daligig themselves are very rare. Relatively speaking, there aren't very many of them around, so most of their forces--both labor and military--are supplemented by other races who have pledged themselves as "vassals", the Kessek primarily (once again, see below). The Daligig aren't very talkative, keeping mostly to themselves, though if a character attempts to make conversation with them they will respond in kind for the most part. Open threads will be available for people to interact with them, and if you wish to set up a specific thread with the Daligig, please contact the mods and we'll get those set up. For an idea of what the Daligig look like, see here here and here (They're very varied physically)
Here are the three primary Daligig characters the crew will be interacting with:
-Archon Yavek: Holding a position roughly equivalent to Lt. Colonel, Yavek is in command of the battalion that will be overseeing Stacy's repairs. He is a gruff, serious, and very by-the-books leader. His men are careful not to step out of line around him, as even minor rules infractions tend to get reported almost immediately. Under his watchful eye, all ship rules--not council rules--will be enforced by his men. He is, however, tempered by his second-in-command Rekkti, so none of the Warden's Punishments will actually be metted out. People will have to be sneaky if they want to discover things about the Daligig while his men are on watch.
-Archite Rekkti: Rekkti is Yavek's second in command, carrying a rank roughly equivalent to Major. Unlike Yavek, she's more of a tempered touch compared to Yavek's stiff and serious style of command, maintaining her subordinate's discipline while keeping a friendly if professional attitude around them. She also manages to reign in Yavek's propensity to punish every single infraction of the rules, meaning punishments are usually much less severe when she's around. She'll likely be the one the crew will most likely get some answers from, but like the rest of the Daligig, there will be a limit to what the crew can learn from her.
-Logistics Officer Mirvee: A young and rather quiet Daligig, Mirvee is responsible for directly overseeing all technical work done for Yavek's battalion, including the Ghyyl technicians that will be working on Stacy. He is very quiet and antisocial, so he may not be very forthcoming with answers, but he would have more information on Stacy than anyone else. If they can convince him to talk, they might be able to glean some interesting information from him.
The Kessek
Relatively speaking, for a poweful and influential multiversal race, the Daligig have a very small population. This is mitigated by the fact that the alien species known af the Kessek have pledged loyalty to them ever since the Daligig granted them the technology to leave their homeworld and elevated them from a primitive, warlike species to the proud people they are today. They consider themselves vassals to the Daligig, serving as laborers and soldiers, as they value hard work and appreciate the opportunities the Daligig have afforded them. Though they have moved past their barbaric roots, the Kessek are still very much a warrior race. All Kessek must perform mandatory military service after reaching maturity, after which they begin their careers assigned to them based on the Great House they were born to. Most Kessek belong to Laborer houses, but all Kessek can remain in the military if they so choose. However, only those of the Warrior houses may move up into command positions. Kessek are very serious and duty-minded, but are very willing to socialize with new people. However, they won't have many answers about the Daligig or Stacy, as Kessek rarely pay attention to anything that isn't directly pertinent to their personal responsibilities. Images: Kessek Soldier. Kessek Leader.
-Force Commander Hukkar: Hukkar is the Kessek warrior in direct command of all the Kessek soldiers in Yavek's battalion. A scion of the Kessek Warrior House of Makal, he is dedicated to his duty to the soldiers under his command. Serious, blunt, and honest to a fault, Hukkar is nonetheless an honorable and trustworthy individual. He will, however, execute any order given to him by the Daligig, so staying on their good side is likely a smart idea.
The Ghyyl
These diminutive beings will be accompanying the Daligig to perform repairs on Stacy. They appear to be non-sentient, as they merely instinctively attempt to analyze and attempt to repair any piece of bio-technology before them. Regardless of their apparent non-sentience, they appear to be absolute masters of bio-technology, as they can repair just about any such piece of technology set before them. If asked about these creatures, the Daligig will merely reply that the Ghyyl were discovered alongside the bio-arks that make up the Transmigration Fleet, like Stacy. They will also mention that it's theorized the Ghyyl were also creations of those who created the bio-arks, but that there is no real evidence to back up such a claim yet. Images: Ghyyl.

As usual, direct answers will be hard to come by, but our more observant players might be able to glean some interesting info along the way.

Should I email you mods or wrangle you in a chat or who should I talk to to work that out?

Just be sure to remind me about this (this is Karl, by the way) before tagging in with this, so I can be sure to set the thread up right.
