Rebellion Water Cooler
With the Rebellion coming up (the general opinion so far suggests late April, but we don't yet have a hard deadline) people are wondering what their characters can do to get involved or help overthrow the Daligig. Some characters ICly don't know what's going on yet; others do but have incomplete information; others wouldn't support the effort and yet others would try and coordinate groups. We don't want anyone to feel like they're left out because their characters haven't ICly put the pieces together, so this post is for ideas for CR-building and coordinating that will allow everyone to participate. A new survival guide is also in the works and will be put on the comms ICly, which will summarize some but not all of the information floating around.
If you have ideas for how you want your character to participate in the rebellion, this is the place to post them! If you have no idea and feel a little lost, feel free to ask others if they're interested in doing something with your character regarding this plot. If you have mini-plot ideas for getting information on the Daligig or gaining weaponry, knowledge of Stacy, so on so forth, this might be a good place to find other characters to play those out with.
For reference, the plan for rebellion is here.
A general CR-building water cooler will be coming in the next few weeks. This is mostly to figure out how everyone's going to fit into the plot to overthrow the Daligig.

Howhow
Canon: Gone
Role on Ship: Medic/Command Secretary/Packrat
Skills: Information sponge, first aid and emergency health care, macguyvering.
What the Character Knows/Thinks About Rebellion: He's all for it, and due to conversations with Leon knows that Command suspects that they can get the keys from the Daligig by winning their trust.
Ideas to Get Involved: Howard is going to TALK TO EVERYBODY. I'm also working with Shae on having him work as a liaison with Kang.
Anything Else?: I'll be gone for most of the month of May and won't be able to participate in the plot then, so I'm more interested in the stuff that leads up to the plot. I am also happy to NPC the Daligig.
Re: Howhow
Will miss you in May :(
Re: Howhow
...actually I'll have to talk to Zita and the mods, but I think it would be hilarious if Howard found a way to intentionally GLaDOS himself during the rebellion. "Have fun storming the castle, guys!"

Re: Howhow
I'm thinking that it could be a good idea to pull together a few people and have them talking/hoarding information and hiding it somewhere (Tarrant's box gave me the idea). I should talk to a Mod. OH WAIT A MOMENT.
Thoughts? Tell me to bugger off if this is not a good thing.
Re: Howhow
I think this is a great idea (and obviously, ICly Howard would be interested). Eileen's sent in a mini plot idea for characters finding blind spots - this could tie into that, having a group of characters gathering information, compiling it, and searching for a safe space to store it.
Re: Howhow
Barbara also suggested to Ankh that researching in the media library would be a good idea, because there was the tape of the public torture and so therefore, records of other punishments might be there, too. She'd be happy to compile a list of activities the Daligig have punished in the past, so when they plan the initial fake rebellion, they've an idea of how severe the punishments might be. Or it could help with the planning. Or something. But that's pre-rebellion, of course.
Should I contact someone about this?
Re: Howhow
This is a good idea, although as far as I know there's only been the one Punishment. The helper mods are currently working on clarifying what merits violations or not, but just because we know that OOCly doesn't mean the characters will know ICly. And I'll search through our modly documents to see if Barbara can find anything...suspicious. ;)
No need to email the mods about this one, I've made a note.
Re: Howhow
Basically, I'm up for anything (Barbara might be reluctant but that's why I'm the Mun \o/), so even if the Mods/organisers see this as silly but would like me to do something else, I'm all for it.

I'll try and think of ways this can happen. :|a
