Rebellion Water Cooler

With the Rebellion coming up (the general opinion so far suggests late April, but we don't yet have a hard deadline) people are wondering what their characters can do to get involved or help overthrow the Daligig. Some characters ICly don't know what's going on yet; others do but have incomplete information; others wouldn't support the effort and yet others would try and coordinate groups. We don't want anyone to feel like they're left out because their characters haven't ICly put the pieces together, so this post is for ideas for CR-building and coordinating that will allow everyone to participate. A new survival guide is also in the works and will be put on the comms ICly, which will summarize some but not all of the information floating around.

If you have ideas for how you want your character to participate in the rebellion, this is the place to post them! If you have no idea and feel a little lost, feel free to ask others if they're interested in doing something with your character regarding this plot. If you have mini-plot ideas for getting information on the Daligig or gaining weaponry, knowledge of Stacy, so on so forth, this might be a good place to find other characters to play those out with.

A general CR-building water cooler will be coming in the next few weeks. This is mostly to figure out how everyone's going to fit into the plot to overthrow the Daligig.

Character Name: Lash
Canon: Advance Wars
Role on Ship: Currently weapon specalist, engineer, maybe council depending.
Skills: Wunderkind, Builder, Commanding Officer...she was built for wars, pretty much.
What the Character Knows/Thinks About Rebellion: Probably talked to a few people involved and trying to help.
Ideas to Get Involved: Lash can build...so many things. Be in the rangers, fight alongside demons, really it's like 'STICK HER HERE SHE WILL HELP'
Anything Else?: She also comes with a CO power bonus that can be boosted by either 1)Hawke or 2)Zetta to give a certain attacking group power bonuses. It's a thing that lasts a short while and can help turn the tide of a battle. It comes with its own music.

Skills: Persona user, Expert revolver gunswoman, detective, incredibly bright and smart.
What the Character Knows/Thinks About Rebellion: Nothing yet, but knowing Naoto she would fine out rather quickly and try to help.
Ideas to Get Involved: Detectives alliance.

Canon: Sonic the Hedgehog
Role on Ship: Hero guy
Skills: Magic sword that can turn him into a flying, golden space-moving golden knight, super speed, quick thinking skills, smarty mouth, all around hero and good guy.
What the Character Knows/Thinks About Rebellion: He'll find out once he's un GLaDOS'd and will want to help.
Ideas to Get Involved: Sonic will probably be in the front lines of the rebellion. It's in his nature.
Anything Else?: You're too slow.

Ideas to Get Involved: She can take care of the kids somewhere safely. But she's better not being in the war really, unless you want Jamie to get an ulcer.

The afro will be made with metal dust and a magnet can be activated to turn it into SPIKES.

Ooh, actually, I have another idea for the rebellion, too. Lash is the Weapons Officer, right? Zouichi was made by a company that specialized in experimental weapons tech, so his memories would also contain information about those projects. They could work together on some nonlethal weapons to use against the crew (and some lethal ones to use against the Daligig).

For example, how about something like the Y-Gun? Basically, it fires trap wires that anchor a person to the ground, and then you "shoot" them to teleport them somewhere else. That 'somewhere else' could be the brig, neatly depositing crew members into different cells.

Actually, Victoria doing some more information gathering things could be interesting (and maybe get some more CR with her and other people if you want it), even if it would give Jamie ulcers. The conflict there could also be something interesting to play out. Just sayin'.

However, if not, if you want to do something with Jamie and Lash somewhere, I'd love to do that too.

Yes I agree about this as well. I am still trying to figure out which 'side' Lash will take.

Hey, a little disagreement can be a good thing. Character building and such, right? Has nothing to do with me wanting to be a terrible, terrible person. 8D

I think it depends somewhat on the numbers. While it would be completely logical for him to get caught up in the fake rebellion and wind up in the brig, I don't really have an idea of how many people are going to be needed there. And since I can see reasons for holding him back and not jumping in immediately, I'm willing to go that way with things as well if it turns out he's not needed for the first part.

I am mostly here to say that I would really, really love Detective CR with Naoto and Tim, if you're up for it...

also, Rachel and Victoria. To see if it's a disaster or not. But I think that'd have to be separate from this plot since they have two veeery different roles.
