Upcoming Rebellion Plot: GIA Shore Leave
Alright, guys, let's get these plots leading up to the rebellion started!
Starting this Friday the 9th, a shore leave on a GIA planet will begin and run one week. While it's totally cool to do normal shore leave activities with this, to avoid becoming repetitive the primary goal will be to establish the GIA, get some more knowledge about what the characters are up against, and gather any necessary resources for the coming storm. I highly encourage characters to interact with the NPCs. There will be little tidbits about the GIA and the Daligig to be found out, and if anyone has ideas for items characters want to gather for the rebellion itself (such as supplies to build battle inventions) I would be happy to help facilitate that.
The planet is called Agrestic (yes, after the town in Weeds) and is a GIA-affiliated planet that has declared itself separate from the Daligig. The Daligig are not, in fact, even allowed on the planet, and will be remaining on the ship. Agresticans are made up of a variety of races, including Helians, Kanil and humans and are an industrious, agriculture and mining-focused, resource-rich planet. They have declare themselves neutral in the war against the Ohm, but are valuable to the GIA for their economic output, and they've been part of this war a lot longer than the T9. In fact, the dislike the Daligig so much that they may just give you whatever you want to take them down from the inside.
This might also be a good time to spy on the Daligig, since with most of the crew on shore leave they might be roaming the non-restricted zones. We're still getting plots approved for that, but if you're interested let me know.
If anyone has questions, feel free to ask me!

What kind of battle inventions, exactly, can characters build? Weapons/armor/stealth stuff? And/or what resources are available? I guess food and seeds and such?

We're pretty open to suggestion on the resources available, so food, seeds, materials like metal or plastic, fuel for vehicles, ammunition, pretty much whatever you can think of within reason (no anti-matter or fancy technology that outpaces anything on the ship, basically).

He's also going to be interested in learning as much as possible about the Daligig - not really concentrating on anything in particular, just whatever he can find out about their tactics, history, culture, or why Agresticans dislike them so much.
