Inevitable Tournament Arc

Just a reminder that, while battles may be backtagged in perpetuity, battle results need to be to me tonight, tomorrow morning at the absolute latest. The next round of battles will be posted tomorrow morning, and will run through Monday.



Specifically, I need results for the following player-vs-player battles:

Sonic vs. Kaya
Crucible vs. Crematia
Shoutarou vs. Naoto

The following player-vs.-NPC battles need their players to check in with me:

Damaramu vs. Dr. McNinja
Shade of Aran vs. Talia

The following player-vs.-NPC battles are assumed to end in the PC's victory, but still need to contact me regarding power gains from the NPC, so you know what you have next round:

What about Cole's aftermath?

It seems like he would want to rally the contestants to stop this tournament for good after hearing that at least some of the contestants are here for the same reason Trans 9's crew is.

Maybe unknowingly unite them as an armada that will show the Daligig that they are capable of handling themselves?

That, and Simon's thinking that if others in this tournament are in a similar boat as the T9 crew, he wouldn't feel right taking their powers.

Crematia will lose to Crucible, but only barely! GDI magic and metallic dragons do not mix for her.

I'm a little confused as to what power or ability Mark would get.

Mark will have a very wide variety of options, actually... but most of them will not actually function on the ship. Lyle's built by D&D rules, which means his summoning draws from other planes of existence which aren't accessible in the Bleed. They'd still be good on planets or in orbits, but for the sake of meta-enjoyment, if you'd prefer one that will actually be broadly functional (assuming the mods approve the permanent power gain, of course), that will narrow down the options fairly substantially.

That being said, there are still a few options -- the ability to swap places with a willing ally, for example, or an unwilling foe might be useful?

He can't summon anything on the ship, but he could do it almost anywhere else right?

On the ship, while in the Bleed. In the Bleed it's impossible to reach the planes where summoned creatures come from. If the ship is in orbit or Mark is planetside, summonings work normally.

If that's what interests you, the power in question would be Summon Monster V. ^.^ (I mean, you could get a lower-level one, but why would you WANT to?)

I will submit it for mod approval as the ability to cast the spell and choose the summoned creature just as if it were being cast normally. I see no reason why that wouldn't be accepted, since there is at least one character on the ship who can cast that exact spell already!

It's okay, I've been doing a lot of things myself. UH actually that is is pretty hard because both have their strengths and weaknesses that offset each other. We could either roll a dice or depending on what you want to do 8Ub

Dice would be the best equalizer. They're both pretty strong given the right situation.

She does have an advantage over him, and that's water. Maybe we can get to the hardest parts and figure it out then? Because it could really go both ways, I think.

Well, the conventional usage of the artifact he'll be gaining is to allow hair to be sharpened and used as needles. It was originally a covert assassination tool -- after all, what would people think if they came upon a corpse with just an incongruous hair lying about? Surely not that the HAIR was the weapon! Hopefully Ian can find use for this.
