Heeey DC Players, need your help...

So, we have Ish, a new player, apping Indigo, which is awesome. The problem? Brainiac 8's in there and most of the other DC characters know that happens, since a lot of them are post Kon's brainwashing and Indigo dying.

Now there's a potentially awesome plot in having Indigo fool the crew and then Brainiac 8 coming to the surface later, so I'm trying to think of ways around them knowing.

One idea I had was Stacy altering all their memories of the event, which is horrible, but with the good-natured intention of allowing them to get along. Despite her gentle nature, Stacy is willing to engage in unscrupulous actions to make sure they tackle the mission as best as they can. She already alters people's memories with the GLaDoSing and people getting repodded for hiatuses and drops, so they don't worry about them, so it wouldn't be far off. (She'd also see 8 as not really being a threat, because surely Brainiac 8 would see the logic in fighting their enemy, anyway).

That'd give us the double-fold repercussions of Brainiac 8 being able to put the whim-wham on everyone AND a plot wherein they discover Stacy's deceit.

Would folks be down with that? They'd just remember the event differently. Barring that, does anyone else have any ideas?

EDIT: We came up with a much awesomer plan we can't tell all the details about. Suffice to say, everyone will remember events exactly as they happened and we have another way around the B8 thing.

I like this plan; I'm in favor of having Indigo. I think it may be best if the Stacy tweak just has us thinking 'Brainiac 8 was someone else who took control of Indigo so she had to be killed by shift'. That way, we get to keep the timeline more or less intact and not worry about 'crazy go nuts' Indigo.

That's what I'm thinking. Logically, the B8 stuff can hide; when they rebuilt Indigo after Graduation Day, it was checked by Roy, STAR Labs, and I'm betting some of the League, too. We have plausible deniability that it can hide itself 100%, just like Kon's mental trigger did.

Plus, it lets us skate a bit more around Stacy mind-raping us all, with it being a more minor alteration to our memories than a major one. More of a shifting than full-blown mindscaping. Which makes it easier for her to avoid being caught. We could even go as far as to say that B8 and Indigo were from the same point in time, which is why B8 tried to use Indigo as the slave-host.
