Ongoing City project

Hello hello!

So Tarrant's been working on a little project as of late which involves raising and releasing fish into the Kohaku River in the City. This means that once the population stabilizes, the crew will have a low-maintenance source of fresh protein to dip into, should they have a hankering (there are some fish in the river right now, but they are mostly one species: carp. Tarrant will be raising his own lines of fish to be hardier, tastier, grow to adulthood faster, etc).

However, if there are any characters that are out there who:
* Like caring for animals
* Are passionate about fishing
* Might have valuable feedback about which fish to stock (cooks, for instance)
* Like hanging out around rivers or have an interest in managing wildlife
* Just want to keep an eye on Tarrant

I think this could also be an interesting little opportunity for CR. And also something for characters who don't specialize in punching dudes to do to improve the City. So let me know if this sounds like something your character(s) would be interested in :)

Oooooooold Player, New Character!

Hey everyone, Kaylin here, with a new character for the next Pop!

Presenting one John H. Watson, doctor, war hero, blogger, and Sherlock-wrangler. He's from several months after the events of The Reichenbach Fall. Once the crew manages to convince him that he's not actually dead/dying and after he and Sherlock have a very loud and violent conversation about Certain Events Involving Hospital Rooftops; John will be more than happy to help out in Medical and in weapons training. He does have the sinking suspicion, however, that his main job is going to be keeping Sherlock from doing things that get him dropped down mysterious holes.

Ladies of appropriate age/apparent age, you are free to make use of the fact that he is physically incapable of saying 'no' to a pretty face. And Howard, he'll need to be speaking to you about what rates you charge to never sell Sherlock any drugs or miscellaneous body parts.

Pram will be sent back to the pods. I have been struggling with keeping up with the game for a while, and I figured this was a good time for me to bow out. It was really fun, and while I wish I could have done more, I enjoyed reading all the threads that went around. Thank you so much for the enjoyable time I've had while I was here (albeit barely).

Activity Check

ACTIVITY CHECK

As always, we'd like to make sure the Cast and Contact pages are completely up to date.

Please check those pages and make sure that everything is right with you/your characters.

We do feel that it's necessary to show that a player has been somewhat active in the game. So we're asking that people just post one thread they've done in the past two months - from the beginning of February until now - with any one of their characters. If you haven't, then there's still seven days until the end of the AC, so get a-posting! This is just one thread per player, for ANY of your characters, from either a channel posting or an action log.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Post here with a statement with your user-handle, and character name/canon/journal, and a link to one thread you've done with any one of your characters since the beginning of February. This is the stuff we need.

Bolded is required. The other stuff can be left empty, but it's what's going on the contact list, so if you want it there, put it there! Or, if your current entry is up to date, just note that.

2. Newbies are exempt. If you're a new player that has either had a character podpopped in January or a new player that just got accepted in January , you don't have to post your activity. However, while this has no bearing on your actual game status, given that we're using it to update the cast roster/contact list, we would like you to post with the other stuff, instead. Newbies are not exempt this time, as it's been nearly three months since their characters popped. Everyone is required to respond.

3. Hiatuses. Please always remember to post up your hiatus in the HIATUS POST! Posting in the main community is to tell the other players, but the hiatus post is important to us since it easily tells us who is and who is not on hiatus. If you've already announced a hiatus, slowatus, or the like--we'll check the hiatus post for people who said they wouldn't be around. We'll try and check the OOC comm too, but you miiiiight end up getting a poke email because it's easier to miss things that are just on the comm. If you can, however, please post on this check saying you are on hiatus too, it can help us out, although it is not necessary.

4. Lack of Response After Contact. We will be sending out a gamewide e-mail during the check. We will do this to ensure that everyone gets a message about the activity check. Make sure your e-mail is up to date as a result! If you respond late, you'll have to hit up the next activity check (barring a hiatus announcement or the like), or you'll automatically be booted with no email. If you don't respond to two checks in a row, you will also be booted off.

5. Das Boot. If you get booted and didn't get a chance to put up a hiatus message, and it was just a slip of the memory, you lost your internet, some kinda LIFE thing happened, it's okay. Just let us know. Stuff happens, and this is just to weed out the people who've lost interest and wandered off without saying, not to punish people who've had bad luck or busyness or absent-mindedness or whatever. We'll put you back in if something like that has happened, even if it's even an accidental "Crud, I just forgot what week it was!" It's really nothing personal, it's not irreversible, it's just an administration thing.

6. Honesty. Please take a look at your characters and the activity of each. If you have inactive characters, and you've been busy, lacking inspiration, feeling blah, but intend to get active with them again, awesomesauce. Now might be a good time to hunt down someone to play with, contact the mods for a part in upcoming plots, or post the OOC asking folks for CR ideas. But please be honest with yourself whether or not you'll be active with the character again. We care more about players just hanging around, than specific characters being active, so we're leaving it up to the players to judge whether or not they've still got it in 'em to get active with a character--we'll only step in if it seems like someone is character squatting for a significant amount of time.

7. When the check ends. One week from tomorrow (April 2nd)! That should give everyone time to hit this.

Hey guys! My tagging mojo has not been especially... extant the past week or so, which means it's time for me to take a break and recharge my batteries. Also, there is schoolwork looming.

I will probably hit tags over the course of the week this is why tagging into new things makes sense yup but in no pattern and with no great swiftness. Previous experience says that I ought to be back in form by the 31st, so I shall see you then!

Fuu and Allenby will still be doin' their thing; no GLaDOSing this time.
