Yo. I utterly fail at all things possible. ANYWAYS.
I had a really lame idea or something. :> Since there are new puppies on board, would anyone be looking for them to be trained (I could probably IM about this, but I am so unfamiliar with people here). Because yes, Riza is an excellent puppy trainer and really does love them. And her mun is much too amused by her puppy training ways.
Basically, they'd get a strict training. Hayate was taught in this way... and he's a pretty capable pup now. He's somehow--canonly-- shown how to attack an enemy when needed (lunge and grab by the base of the neck where they can't reach him) and even can dodge gunfire.Considering his mistress, however, that's not too unreasonable.
If you're unfamiliar with the canon, Riza trains like THIS.
I know horrifying, right?
But it results in this sort of training!
Also, the shock about his name being "Black Hayate" is because Hayate is a militaristic weapon. It's not too surprising however, considering "Hawkeye" is based off an aircraft and all FMA military have weapon/aircraft last name.
They just joke Riza is bad at naming things.
