Calling all spies!

So, Shaela and I have been working on doing spy stuff with Kang and Marco, and we’re wondering if anyone would be interested in joining up a small spy network. Basically, how this would work is that Kang would be at the head of it – essentially directing the spies to where they need to go. He’d be the one to decide who to approach, and talk to them about joining up. (Although if we get enough people, he might appoint someone else as head and give orders to them)

Kang will also be letting Leon know that he’s got the beginnings of a spy network, but he won’t be saying who is in it (Possibly this could lead to some overlap with the Strike Team, depending on what people want to do).

As for what they’d do! It wouldn’t necessarily be spying-on-fellow-crewmembers stuff (and even then, that’d probably be just suspicious individuals and whatnot). A lot of would be like for missions, and gathering intel and that sort of thing.

So yes! Basically we’re interested in finding out if anyone might want to be involved in something like this. (Just keep in mind that potentials will be spied on themselves before being approached. And that we’d need to find ways for Kang - or one of the current spies – to realise that they might be suited for spy work in the first place.)

Possibly - but the main thing is finding away to record the information, while also making it difficult for others to find and read. If it's written down, then if someone comes along they can just read it. But if Celena would be able to remember everything and also keep it safe, that might be a possibility. course if she gets captured then they'd all be screwed...

The illusions would be enough for them to check her out - basically what'd happen is someone suggests that someone might be useful for the network, then Kang'd send out some people to spy on them to help determine if they would be useful (and trustworthy enough). I imagine if they didn't see her other abilities, Celene could tell Kang about them once she joined up.

When I talk to Shaela next, I can talk about the memory thing with her and figure out if Kang has seen her illusions.

Hmm,her devices could be secured in such a way only certain people could access sensitive information within them. Otherwise indeed, the information would be pretty safe in Celena's memory.

That makes sense then, Celena could tell Kang easily enough if said spy doesn't notice them, as long as said spy doesn't get noticed. They may get a telepathic question if they do get spotted though.

Such memory can be used to know what's out of place in a situation as well, mixed with her 'True sight' ability she can be useful in spotting things that don't belong if she's been to a place before, if that would be handy at all?

Look forward to hearing back then, this is sounding a really interesting idea.

Indeed, they can locked magically, in a number of different ways.

For one, the device could simply not function for one not designated to use it, or for another certain parts of the knowledge stored within would simply not appear at all for one who does not have access to them, among other varieties.

In either case, I'm sure Celena would be happy to construct a number of such devices should Kang wish it.
