Plot Discussion (Sorry for the Delay, was on vacation)
Basically, here's how it works: These posts will provide a place to discuss upcoming plots, propose plot ideas to your fellow players, and generally just brainstorm and organize for things. You will be allowed to volunteer to help OOCly with plots as well. Note, however, that these threads will not be a place to sign up your characters for plots. Those posts will go up on their own before the plot in question starts.
Plot posts will typically go up once every two weeks. (Typically late-ish every other Friday night).
What you can do:
• Discuss upcoming plots (whose threads will be posted soon after this post goes up) and volunteer to help OOCly
• Propose plot ideas to the game at large. (Use the form from the plot suggestion post to make things easier)
• "Adopt" a plot from the plot suggestion post (linked below). If there is a plot on the plot suggestion post you'd like to see run, start a thread for it in here.
• Propose ongoing setting changes. For example, you can propose a new crew "team" like Starfighter Command and the Outsiders, or perhaps starting a new service for the crew like the blacksmiths and the clothier's shop.
Getting a standard plot approved or a change implemented:
• All plots that take place off-ship or involve at least a moderate number of people must go through mod approval first. If you're not sure, email the plot email and see if it would qualify.
• While we'd like you to use these posts to discuss your potential plots with your fellow players, if you'd prefer not to include it in plot discussion posts for any particular reason (for example, particular details of the plot you'd like to keep hidden), posting your plot in the plot discussion posts is not necessary to get a plot approved
• To get a plot approved, use the form below and email it to trans9plots@gmail.com, along with links to any plot discussion threads you believe have relevant ideas. You will be emailed with an approval once the mods have reviewed it and find it satisfactory. Once you have received an approval, you will be asked to help us determine the best time to run the plot. Please keep in mind that plots are not always slotted in order they were received, as sometimes their timing is based on the needs and wants of the playerbase or has to be scheduled around podpops and gamewide plots.

If it's on a world, what is the setting? If it's on the ship, how will it affect the setting?
If there's a mission, what is the mission objective?
Who will this plot involve and affect?
What long-term effects are you hoping this plot will have?
Getting a private plot approved:
• A private plot--which is a plot consisting of up to 8 characters or can be finished in under a week, and (in either case) already has a predetermined set of involved players--must be sent to the mods for approval, though it doesn't need to be announced in anyway other than to inform involved players.
•Private plots can consist of any type of small plot, including small off-ship missions requiring only a small number of people. If you are unsure if your plot counts as a private plot, email the mods and we will try to clarify for you.
• To get a private plot approved, follow the normal procedure for sending in a plot for approval, save that you should note somewhere (preferably in the beginning) that it is a private plot and what characters/players are involved.
An important note:
• Plots do not necessarily always have to have a concrete mission structure. If, for instance, you'd like to have something as simple as a supply run happen as an excuse to thread characters somewhere other than the ship, this is entirely permissible. So is, for instance, proposing shore leaves or simple missions at places like space stations or colonies, or even on nature worlds that have resources that can be gathered. Plots or plotty situations can be as simple or complicated as you like, ranging from goal-orientated to creating an excuse for characters to have somewhere new to thread.

Adopt-a-Plot
Re: Adopt-a-Plot
Here's the text from the suggestion page:
Track This
1. What is the plot you have in mind? [Basic overview]
A team from the crew is taken down late 19th century England. London, England. Whitechapel, to be exact. The year is 1888 and the district is paralyzed with fear and being plagued by a series of gruesome murders. The task of the crew members is to investigate the deaths and bring the culprit back to the ship as their prisoner.
2. If it's on a world, what is the setting? If it's on the ship, how will it affect the setting?
The setting is 19th century, Victorian England.
3. If there's a mission, what is the mission objective?
The mission objective: Infiltrate Scotland Yard and investigate the murders in Whitechapel. Discover the identity of the man the papers are calling "Jack the Ripper" and bring him back to the ship.
4. Who will this plot involve and affect?
Again, it'd be mainly anyone who is human or can pass as human.
5. What long-term effects are you hoping this plot will have?
Aside from being a fun murder-mystery plot and we get to have Jack the Ripper on the ship afterwards??? None.
Though there won't be any bringing him back to the ship, if he's found and caught, he'll be left in the care of the planet's authorities.
I do have a bit of a plan for one of my characters in connection with this plot, but it's a fairly minor point overall.
I just want to see if anyone's interested~

On Trial!
Bouncing through the Bleed, the Tribunal encounters Transmigration 9 and, after learning of what the crew has done, decided that they should be tried for crimes against the multiverse. Capturing a handful of the crew, the Tribunal has declared that they represent the entirety of the crew and that, if they're guilty, everyone is guilty. Can the crew prove their innocence to these aliens or are they (and the multiverse) screwed?

I'd love to thrown Kon in and have it get out that he launched one of his bad guys into space. I mean, she would've had to have died eventually.

Ride For (Your) Life!
Where I live, there's a yearly event where bikers come in from all over and do a ride-for-charity thing, Ride For Life. I...actually don't know the mechanics of it, but it gave me a plot idea...
Perhaps tied to some kind of shore leave event or as a diplomatic thing, some crew of Stacy get called upon to take part in a charity motorcycle race. Everything's all well and good until a ways into the race, it turns out there's some group involved in the race that wants to either make the race a bust to screw over the charity, or win it for themselves to get the prize, or something. AND THUS IT BECOMES A RACE TO STOP THE BAD GUYS FROM DOIN' BAD GUY STUFF and cool
hardcore Mario Kart actionvehicular combat and stuff.Setting Changes
Shooting Star
Synopsis: A small number of the crew visits a war-torn island on the planet Forcellia, which was once the site of a great struggle between the gods of light and darkness. Unfortunately, this battle ended in a stalemate, and the island's history has been rife with conflict ever since. In fact, many of the remnants from that past war have surfaced to cause trouble in the present: magical relics, shadowy sorcerers, and of course, ancient winged reptiles. It turns out the particular island they’re sent to visit houses an artifact of enormous magical potential. Unfortunately, it’s in possession of an ancient dragon named Shooting Star, who is terrorizing the local populace. It's up to the crew to find a way to put a stop to it... but how?
Plot Length: Short
Plot Size: Small
Plot Location: Off-ship Mission
Plot Runner: Tetra
Note: This plot, and the Archaelogy plot, and Visitation Day plot, are running the same time OOCly, but are bendytimed as happening on separate IC days, allowing people to participate in any of the three plots if they like. This plot happens first ICly, then Archaelogy, then Visitation Day
Archaeology, Natural Disasters, and You
Synopsis: When a natural phenomena that happens once every three hundred years threatens to wipe out the last traces of a dead civilization, a small archaeology crew sets out to find and bring back as much as they can before the site is destroyed.
Plot Length: Two Weeks
Plot Size: Small
Plot Location: Off-ship
Plot Runner: Iabet
Visitation Day
Synopsis: For reasons of her own, Stacy does a mass unpodding of people, one for each of the crew involved in the plot. Each gets their 'most important person'. Husbands and wives, sons and daughters, bffs, and perhaps in a few cases, worst enemies--but only for one day.
Plot Length: 1 week
Plot Size: Medium
Plot Location: On-Ship
Plot Runner: Kate
(Note: The plot-runner has said they can run this starting the 18th. If not, we'll work something out with her).
