Plotting Post [lol I suck. Podpop threw me off]
Basically, here's how it works: These posts will provide a place to discuss upcoming plots, propose plot ideas to your fellow players, and generally just brainstorm and organize for things. You will be allowed to volunteer to help OOCly with plots as well. Note, however, that these threads will not be a place to sign up your characters for plots. Those posts will go up on their own before the plot in question starts.
Plot posts will typically go up once every two weeks. (Typically late-ish every other Friday night).
What you can do:
• Discuss upcoming plots (whose threads will be posted soon after this post goes up) and volunteer to help OOCly
• Propose plot ideas to the game at large. (Use the form from the plot suggestion post to make things easier)
• "Adopt" a plot from the plot suggestion post (linked below). If there is a plot on the plot suggestion post you'd like to see run, start a thread for it in here.
• Propose ongoing setting changes. For example, you can propose a new crew "team" like Starfighter Command and the Outsiders, or perhaps starting a new service for the crew like the blacksmiths and the clothier's shop.
Getting a standard plot approved or a change implemented:
• All plots that take place off-ship or involve at least a moderate number of people must go through mod approval first. If you're not sure, email the plot email and see if it would qualify.
• While we'd like you to use these posts to discuss your potential plots with your fellow players, if you'd prefer not to include it in plot discussion posts for any particular reason (for example, particular details of the plot you'd like to keep hidden), posting your plot in the plot discussion posts is not necessary to get a plot approved
• To get a plot approved, use the form below and email it to trans9plots@gmail.com, along with links to any plot discussion threads you believe have relevant ideas. You will be emailed with an approval once the mods have reviewed it and find it satisfactory. Once you have received an approval, you will be asked to help us determine the best time to run the plot. Please keep in mind that plots are not always slotted in order they were received, as sometimes their timing is based on the needs and wants of the playerbase or has to be scheduled around podpops and gamewide plots.
Plot Name:
Preferred Date:
Synopsis:
Plot Length:
Plot Size:
Plot Location: (On-ship, Off-ship Mission)
Plot Runner:
If it's on a world, what is the setting? If it's on the ship, how will it affect the setting?
If there's a mission, what is the mission objective?
Who will this plot involve and affect?
What long-term effects are you hoping this plot will have?
Getting a private plot approved:
• A private plot--which is a plot consisting of up to 8 characters or can be finished in under a week, and (in either case) already has a predetermined set of involved players--must be sent to the mods for approval, though it doesn't need to be announced in anyway other than to inform involved players.
•Private plots can consist of any type of small plot, including small off-ship missions requiring only a small number of people. If you are unsure if your plot counts as a private plot, email the mods and we will try to clarify for you.
• To get a private plot approved, follow the normal procedure for sending in a plot for approval, save that you should note somewhere (preferably in the beginning) that it is a private plot and what characters/players are involved.
An important note:
• Plots do not necessarily always have to have a concrete mission structure. If, for instance, you'd like to have something as simple as a supply run happen as an excuse to thread characters somewhere other than the ship, this is entirely permissible. So is, for instance, proposing shore leaves or simple missions at places like space stations or colonies, or even on nature worlds that have resources that can be gathered. Plots or plotty situations can be as simple or complicated as you like, ranging from goal-orientated to creating an excuse for characters to have somewhere new to thread.

Re: Suggest-a-Plot
Also this was suggested to me awhile ago, but I was wondering about a mini-plot with the TARDIS malfunctioning and regurgitating rooms for people to encounter out on Stacy. Would that be possible?
I figure it'd be up to the players who wanted to participate what was in the rooms and/or any threats, as well as give people a chance to get access to TARDIS tech without Eleven having to be there to allow it.

So, there's no central place, and there are bits of the City that it's possible to grow stuff/raise livestock, but not many yet. It'd take some work to do.

Date: November 1st - 21st
Synopsis: Select members of the crew arrive at the planet Exotic Location to negotiate for secret special information from the leader there, former supermodel Tyrant Banks. Unfortunately, Tyrant isn't interested in negotiations, and instead forces them to compete with each other to see who is the model most worthy of following in her footsteps. To get close enough to Tyrant to get the information, one of them must win and become the Multiverse's Next Top Model - not an easy task when Tyrant's idea of 'modeling' includes dressing like a chicken on a runway made of hot coals and stuffing one's self into a vending machine while wearing a bikini.
Plot Length: 3 weeks
Plot Size: Large
Plot Location: Off-ship Mission
Plot Runner: Lisa

1. I have a volunteer to NPC, and will be NPCing myself, but if possible I'd like to be able to call on one more person to NPC. I'd like this person to be familiar with America's Next Top Model, even just of the "watched a few episodes" type, so they can help me with NPCing the cartoonish personalities of the judges.
2. I'm curious as to how people want to do eliminations, as this is a contest plot. After elimination, characters are sent back to the ship, but I want to know: would you guys rather have your characters eliminated by volunteering, or by the plotrunners deciding it and thus be a surprise?
3. I am going to need to bounce ideas off people as to how to SET UP the individual posts of this plot. I'm hoping to make this plot friendly to backtags and slower taggers, but I also want to fit an entire contest in three weeks. SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME.
Tyrant Banks, over and out.

...And is it truly terrible of me if I suddenly want to see Sirius in this plot?

Not at all! Plot's open to everyone and IIRC, you did express interest in my test balloon post.

Synopsis: The crew is becoming famous around the multiverse! So famous, in fact, that a small crew shows up offering twelve of the crewmen a chance to participate in a talk show interview "Galaxy Talk", a popular show that is featured in more than a thousand billion homes around the universes. They are brought in, glamored up and set to appear for a live interview with interdenominational media darling superstar Cynadibelle P'Lat. Unfortunately, everything goes wrong, and they are used to push the show's ratings by the host's less-than-stellar personality. As if that wasn't bad enough, things take a turn for the worse. As the first commercial break happens, Cynadibelle has been found...murdered! And with the bashing just before, the hands all point towards someone in Tran's crew murdering her. Can the twelvefind out who did it, clear their name and prove their innocence? Time is running against them...and on live television!
Plot Length: 1 week
Plot Size: Medium. Players will also be allowed to watch the show as the interview team leaves them a single large television to pick up that broadcast.
Plot Location: Off-ship for main plot, On-ship for characters watching
Plot Runner: Pixle
