Sparkle Shimmer Bang! Plot Signups
Have you ever wanted to have your character wear an outfit of frills and frippery, wield powers that seem entirely ridiculous, and kick butt anyway? If so, you're in the right place. Your character could be magical for a day!
Plot Duration: December 2nd-11th, but it only takes up one day ICly. Bendytimed to take place after 'Is Your Love Strong Enough?'. Not sure when in relation to the modplot running at the same time (before?), I'll work that out when its details go up.
Plot Summary: The characters will be touching down on a world whose name roughly translates as 'Sweetdream Paradise'. The capital city, Gummiring, is regularly attacked by Captain Ripades and her Pain Posse, shadow-slime goons that are impervious to all methods of attack other than the magical powers wielded by the Melody Militia-ordinary girls who were enlisted to protect the world with sweetness and light. Problem? They're all sick! Food-poisoned and bedridden, they need help. That's where the crew comes in, taking over their duties for a day.
Characters will be assigned one of these ten powers! (Don't mind that all of these descriptions say 'she', they're copy-pasted from the character sheet of the girls you'll be filling in for)
Diamond: She wields the power of dazzling gems. Her super-stylish fashion unleashes a blinding light when called, and the dancing lights around her easily confuse enemies.
Daydreamer: The clouds that form from her hands trap the target in an illusory world according to the emotion she wants to impart. Happy clouds try to create happy dreams, converting the target to her side, and dark clouds create nightmares intended to damage.
Bubblegum: Her power of bubblegum can shoot super-adhesive wads of gum to stick the target, and a large blown bubble doubles as an effective cage.
Songweaver: Lures enemies into a slumbering lull with the magical power of her voice! That microphone is magical.
Purity: Her salt-water attacks bring the cleansing power of tears. A good hit from them will bring on sudden feelings of regret for what you’ve done.
Angel: A sweet hug and kiss from this floating girl will turn any heart to gold. Her main weapon to lure the enemy in is a powerful silver lasso, one that always seems to know where to go. Once they're enfolded in her wings, it's over!
Rainbow: Bringing it all together, she bends the light around her through her Prism Sphere into a concentrated blast of hot light.
Beastfriend: Those cute little bunnies you see around you? Well, she speaks their language. She has the animals of the city park at her beck and call, waiting for a kill. Look out for the squirrels.
Florale: Her powers have a green thumb. Attacks include vine whips, petal distractions, and giving people allergies.
Adorability: One wave from her bow-covered wand will turn the target object into something entirely fluffy, sweet, and irresistibly adorable. Good luck being evil if your gun’s been turned into a rubber duck!
Participants: 9. There are ten girls who need to be replaced as the magical defenders of the city for the day, but Starfire is filling in for one of them.
Sign-up Time and Character Selection: Right here, comment to this post! Every single character is eligible, whether they fit the traditional bill for a magical girl or don't at all! (Skirts are mandatory, just so everyone knows!) One character per player, please, but you don't have to set your character choice in stone until the end of the sign-up period. Sign-ups will be open until 8 PM EST on Friday, November 25th, a week before the plot is scheduled to start. This'll give you time to plan things and allow for replacements and plot changes if someone needs to drop out. On the 25th, if more than nine characters are signed up, the nine will be chosen with a random number generator. This generator will then be used to randomly assign characters to their powers! I'll be sharing that info with you on Friday.
