Information/Rebellion Planning Post!
Posting this with my paid account so I can add in the poll.
Mod and Helper Announcement!
Our new mods are Chi and Saphie!
Our new plot mod is Anders!
Our new helper mods are Pedro, Sylvar, and Eileen!
Funk has stepped down as mod due to personal issues, and Karl and Lisa will stay on for a little longer to help make sure that everything is in good hands and we can fix the problems we’ve had in the past. We’ll be implementing a new system that should have things running much more smoothly.

Council stuff (tied in with Rebellion)!
This is an idea we’ve come up with to reconcile the latest drops and push some Rebellion stuff forward.
The Daligig, (Yavek, mainly), decided to keep a closer eye on the activities of the crew during podpop, in the hopes that rebellious crewmembers will reveal themselves. Lo and behold, two do: Tarrant and Ildraniah. Tarrant's insinuations were subtler and could possibly be pleaded as purely informational and not representative of his views, were it to be taken to any sort of 'fair trial', but the Daligig and Yavek in particular are not at all inclined to offer anything fair to the crew at this point, especially after being balked at Punishment. They hit the repod button as demonstration of how absolutely futile it is to oppose the Daligig, and to demonstrate that although the ship may be looking out for them, they can still get their vengeance in other ways.
This is a tactical mistake on the Daligig's part. It will lead to a rift between Yavek and the other Daligig. It will also communicate pretty effectively to the crew that an open rebellion can't succeed so long as the Daligig have that power.
The three remaining Councilors get called on the carpet and chewed out. Dhianeila gets repodded as a consequence of this. Some or all of the Councilors suck up to the Daligig as part of the Rebellion plan. Lash and Simon then get added to the Council, and the rest of the plan agreed on OOCly continues, with the Councilors pretending to be on the Daligig’s side while secretly working with the ‘rebels’.
Because this is a change to the overall plot the playerbase created, there is a poll for voting. You are also welcome to toss any ideas that you might have as well.
Dead Daligig!
We have okayed a few of the minor Daligig on the ship to get killed off during the Rebellion, as well as for Yavek to get the snot kicked out of him so badly he’s forced to crawl off and lick his wounds. Players will also get the chance to dissect those dead bodies and possibly get a few juicy hints. We’ll have more information on both of these further into the Rebellion.
Lastly, on to Rebellion Planning!
Apologies for it taking a little longer than planned. There were just a few things that needed ironed out before we could get this done.
This planning post is for EVERYONE to use. There are subthreads to help with organization, and please tag around to share ideas!

Council Rebellion Idea!

Anyhoo, I would like him to have a minor leadership role of some kind (or a being-bossed-around-by-another-leader) role. Basically just some commandey thing, though I'd prefer for it to be small (and to have him not the best if he is leading because he's not the best at leadering).

I could see him being moved up to Lt. 2nd Class easily enough as there is currently a distinct lack of officers at that level and would give him that potential for minor leadership role.
Though on the command side there may well be a good deal more ensign level at least with the Task force being a directly under command. Though it wouldn't hurt to have a proper intake of those interested in command.

Council Planning
Re: Council Planning
Given that setup, though, would it still be feasible to go with the idea of Simon disagreeing with the sucking up, going with the rebels, and get brigged for it?
'Cause on one hand, I'd like to find a way for that to happen, but on the other hand, Simon's not that dumb. That, and I figure at a meeting in a blind spot the whole "we are totally faking sucking up to them" would be a thing that comes up.
Originally, I wanted him to not be in on the idea of the rebellion being a fake, but that's probably going to have to change.
Re: Council Planning
Kang will pretend to be on the Daligig's side, at least, and we know Zetta's already gotten into his act.

Zetta's conversation with Yavek led to the DWRY plot (handwaved). Zetta would like to forge ship logs of Yavek letting the information leak someplace he shouldn't have, either through programming or actual illusions from Magical; then, once it becomes obvious to the Daligig that DWRY has happened and their settings have been changed, Zetta will act the part of concerned citizens and tip off the Daligig that it was Yavek's fault before Yavek can blame HIM. With it being Yavek's word versus Zetta's and the logs, and Yavek already at odds with his cohorts, that should see Yavek's power over the crew grossly diminished.
Re: Council Planning
She can still be there for meetings in Zetta's place since it's a blind spot, but other than that she'll have to effectively vanish for the duration of this.

I was thinking of her becoming impatient with the way the rebellion is going and trying to assassinate Yavek in particular but I don't know if this will gel well with the plans we've got. I don't want to throw any kinks into it.
