Information/Rebellion Planning Post!

Posting this with my paid account so I can add in the poll.

Mod and Helper Announcement!

Our new mods are Chi and Saphie!

Our new plot mod is Anders!

Our new helper mods are Pedro, Sylvar, and Eileen!

Funk has stepped down as mod due to personal issues, and Karl and Lisa will stay on for a little longer to help make sure that everything is in good hands and we can fix the problems we’ve had in the past. We’ll be implementing a new system that should have things running much more smoothly.

The contact post has been updated as well!

Council stuff (tied in with Rebellion)!

This is an idea we’ve come up with to reconcile the latest drops and push some Rebellion stuff forward.

The Daligig, (Yavek, mainly), decided to keep a closer eye on the activities of the crew during podpop, in the hopes that rebellious crewmembers will reveal themselves. Lo and behold, two do: Tarrant and Ildraniah. Tarrant's insinuations were subtler and could possibly be pleaded as purely informational and not representative of his views, were it to be taken to any sort of 'fair trial', but the Daligig and Yavek in particular are not at all inclined to offer anything fair to the crew at this point, especially after being balked at Punishment. They hit the repod button as demonstration of how absolutely futile it is to oppose the Daligig, and to demonstrate that although the ship may be looking out for them, they can still get their vengeance in other ways.

This is a tactical mistake on the Daligig's part. It will lead to a rift between Yavek and the other Daligig. It will also communicate pretty effectively to the crew that an open rebellion can't succeed so long as the Daligig have that power.

The three remaining Councilors get called on the carpet and chewed out. Dhianeila gets repodded as a consequence of this. Some or all of the Councilors suck up to the Daligig as part of the Rebellion plan. Lash and Simon then get added to the Council, and the rest of the plan agreed on OOCly continues, with the Councilors pretending to be on the Daligig’s side while secretly working with the ‘rebels’.

Because this is a change to the overall plot the playerbase created, there is a poll for voting. You are also welcome to toss any ideas that you might have as well.

Dead Daligig!

We have okayed a few of the minor Daligig on the ship to get killed off during the Rebellion, as well as for Yavek to get the snot kicked out of him so badly he’s forced to crawl off and lick his wounds. Players will also get the chance to dissect those dead bodies and possibly get a few juicy hints. We’ll have more information on both of these further into the Rebellion.

Lastly, on to Rebellion Planning!

Apologies for it taking a little longer than planned. There were just a few things that needed ironed out before we could get this done.

This planning post is for EVERYONE to use. There are subthreads to help with organization, and please tag around to share ideas!

We've got weapons to build and stuff to do! I'm open to any suggestions, I'll have my own after school---sorry, came at a bad time!

we could have an IC brainstorming session too.

ALSO any newbies who have interest in the projects are totes welcome.

Allenby's still working on her radio brain-jamming signal thing to increase and/or widen the blind spots down in the City, or possibly other places in the ship like Engineering or the science departments, et cetera. Kind of thinking it would work not by scrambling Stacy's ability to pick up thoughts, but by taking the brainwaves of whoever's in the vicinity and turning it into nonsense thought that will register as normal for Stacy but not be what anyone is actually thinking.

I think an IC brainstorming session would be pretty cool. :3 We've got lots of gearheads from lots of places. ALL THE IDEAS.

Yeah. I'd meant to log this out, I'm sorry! But we can use those secure comms for brainstorming now.

Sticking this here as Computing is part of Engineering -

Anwei is pro-getting Stacy fixed, and if getting away from the Daligig will advance that, she'll be happy to help. She doesn't feel any loyalty for people who are clearly hiding so much from their soldiers.
Because she went almost straight from unpodding into tampering with Stacy (Devil Wouldn't Recognize You) I could see her taking the fall as a 'public' rebeller and getting brigged as necessary. (The new person is ALWAYS the one who takes the fall...)

Still providing whatever protections possible to the shelters. Also, there are a lot of magical artifacts to be identified left!

Yeah, I'd actually really like to know where people stand here. I know Howard is going to be gone, so Kaya is going to be working around the clock until the time of the rebellion. When that happens, and she is subsequently captured, I'm assuming she'll be giving aid to the would be rebels...unless she's confined to a brig all her own.

Need to have Veronica go recruiting via comms and a followup, that's for sure.

...hm... I don't suppose there was enough debris left from those power dampners during SHODAN that they could possibly reassemble one to figure out how to turn it against the Daligig, could they?

Or could it be possible to cobble together enough broken robots with the help of engineering and programming to give the crew a small group of robots that could be used somehow?

Hey, it worked well enough for a guy back home! (At least until the Courier Veronica knew and our new one both shot the guy. Whoopsie.)

I'll be getting up the proper IC sign ups on the weekend, have had a rather busy week so haven't been able to put them up due to five projects being due this week.

Otherwise depending on timing, I'd be interested in setting up the joint training with Starfighter command that was mentioned last time.

In terms of the rebellion itself, 'Vadum would have those in the task force not participating in the fake rebellion assisting Security in putting it down. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas as to what they'd like to happen with the Task force I'm certainly open to them.
