In case anyone wasn't in last night, we now have a crack comm.
insertmeathere It's a place for anything and everything. A catch-all, if you will. It's a place for crack scenes like the April Fool's post we did:
here. Right now there's an ongoing completely weird self-insert crack RP called "Tran 9 From Outer Space" in there.
It's also an open comm so potential newbs can post in and ask questions. If they do that, don't be (as) cracky with them. It's also a place to post cool links and random stuff that may be of interest to players, but don't have anything to do with the game.
So to clarify on all the comms and their uses:
IC comms
trans_9 - Main comm. 3rd-person Logging. Really, ultimately, the only comm you need if you're a minimalist, and the only place with required posting.
trans_channel - IC 1st person journal posts. Not required to join, if you don't want or if your character wouldn't use the omnicoms. Journalspam doesn't count towards activity limits. It's mean for quick IC communication and not meant to supplant face to face interaction.
OOC Comms
trans_pilgrims - You are here. OOC communication, having to do with the game. Kinda important, like the main comm.
insertmeathere - IC and OOC crack comm, links to random junk, macros, sparkly text, other internet abominations. The same kinda stuff as in chat. Game ads for other games you run can be popped in there and now that we have it, we'd prefer it to you putting them in the ooc. (Just don't go nuts with them). Open membership so newbs and watchers can join and ask questions. NOT REQUIRED in the least bit, just like chat isn't required. Actually, it's a sort of way to extend the goofiness of chat to those who aren't in chat.
transtunes - The Comm Which Shall Not Be Named But Just Got Named. For...erm. The sharing of youtube links. Yes. Moderated membership. Not required to join. If you don't know what the comm is, it's for...sharing nice things. Sharing is caring, after all.
As you can see, there are only two very vitally necessary comms - the main comm and the ooc. Then there's the IC journalspam, and the rest is crack and yaaarrr.
So, there you go. We really have no need for additional comms beyond this, so don't expect anymore to pop up.
