So, for those of you who aren't in chat at THIS VERY MOMENT (ie: most of the game), we've got a couple New Things announcements for the wiki.


Firstly, ~*INTRODUCING*~ Level Six - The Hangar. Now this also means that I need something from all y'all as well. The page is a bit empty, and Cheryle doesn't know what all people have got down there, so it would be super helpful to me and your fellow players if you could take a trip on over to edit the page with your character's vehicle and a quick blurb about it. The blurb can be anything--something punny, maybe, or a For Serious informational packet about your doodad. Whatever it is, just make sure it's in the correct category.


Secondly, we would also like to ~*INTRODUCE*~ the new Organizations page. Here, you'll find any shipwide (and some secret) organizations and their members. If your character is part of an organization that isn't listed, please let us know here so we can toss it up.


Thirdly, you might want to waltz around the wiki even without visiting the mentioned pages. Some fantastic workers have been at it for the better part of the afternoon, rearranging and editing the pages, and you might be surprised to find new information. Again, at your leisure.

EDIT: Also, while you're at it, we would appreciate a quick trip over to the City's page. It's newly alphabetized and rearranged, and there are several locations that need descriptions and/or updating. If there's a recently discovered place that needs adding (and has been mod-approved), go ahead and edit it in as well.

Saphie here! Sooo, the return of much the Avatar cast kinda has had me tempted, and I do have three character slots still open...

Let's just say the will is weak.

I am still iffy on his voice, but since I dropped him, I've been re-watching episodes to see if I could get it back, and I'd like to give him another shot. I am making no promises about the long-term-ness of this, but I've always loved playing him, and I really, really wanted to try to get the voice back, so hopefully the re-watch did the trick. Crossing my fingers. Please let me know if he's ever off. I'll put an anon-enabled HMD up in his journal. Consider this a pre-emptive "Crit is welcome."

Anyway, say hello to Aang, from Avatar: the Last Airbender. For those newbies that might be wondering why he looks older, that is because he's 17-years-old. Aang served as a major expository/plot device in an earlier plot, and was one of the few people that was awake way back when the original Daligig crew was alive, and has encountered the Ohm before. He's missing some memory, though (which is plot-related) and spent a hellish time helping hold back a Lovecraftian monstrosity from eating the brains of the crew. (Also, castmates, like Anders, I've canon-updated him to end of series. He remembers it all now).

So this is a slightly more battle-hardened, more mature, but no less cheerful Aang. He's a little messed up from all that happened to him, but after his nice long podnap, he'll be pretty much past that as much as he can be (other than still dealing with terrible claustrophobia, thanks a lot, Nightmare King). Also, due to the plot device/expository things done with him, like Cargn, if you want your character to find out a little more background on the Ohm and Daligig, he's a good guy to ask. Aang and Cargn are kinda like the mods' way of having characters that can give a little exposition/background on stuff ICly.

I'm still slowatused, so I'm gonna wrap a few more threads up before I toss him in, but I should have a post up within the week.

Here’s how things will be set up. Each “victim” will put up a subthread in the post. So, there will be a post up with Daimon and Mei-Xing snarking and then him getting exorcised. The next post will have a short intro of me saying “ON THE LOOSE DANGER blahblahblah the darksoul is going around possessing people blahblah” Then anyone on the victim list will put up their own sub thread, it’d be nice if you put the character name in the subject. Then the people who have volunteered to be helper exorcists will tag onto it. Anyone who knows/is close to the possessed person can tag onto the subthread. I would like it if everyone could PLEASE talk to the person before tagging onto them to arrange what will happen. Considering the darksoul is really violent, it’s probably that the helper exorcists will have to burst in and intervene. While the possessed person could run off again, I’d rather have them run into no more than a few people because this isn’t supposed to be a huge plot. So OOC communication is key! To facilitate this, I will put up an OOC communication post where people can talk to each other about the subthreads.

Each subthread will end with the demon being exorcised or fleeing. It will then go onto the next person. There is no set order to this, so you guys can take your time. Although the plot will be wrapped within around a week, if you’re not done by then we can backtag.

And after reading all this you decide you changed your mind and don't want to be in the plot, that's O.K.! Just send me a message letting me know.

Don't be afraid to ask any questions! And sorry for the tl;dr

Edit: And I forgot to include/make this clear but please don't severely hurt your characters. They can get hurt but nothing more than some mild-moderate burns (honestly it's hard for the possessed person to concentrate enough to burn someone). Basically no lasting injury. Nothing more than a 3 or a 4 here.

ALSO Daimon will not be able to take the trident from them. So just write your character as having it regardless of order.

Post a subthread for each person possessed. Start working out how things will go! Use this throughout the plot. Communication is key!
