TransPilgrims (TransMigration9: OOC)
April 20th, 2011
Alright, I think I need to hiatus until my sanity returns. I've been having a lot of problems this semester, and trans_9 is actually too fast for me to keep up with right now. That sounds crazy because it's slow by LJRP standards, but the LJRP standard is now crazy too fast for me. That or it might just be the size of the game, I'm not sure. Plus I accidentally inherited a staff position on a forum RPG I joined last fall for shits and giggles, and as you guys well know modding takes up a lot of free time.

Still, I love this place and don't want to leave. :\ I'm thinking about dropping the Chief here just because I feel like I've been losing my grip on him and even when I'm not I get too anxious about doin' it right to post. Either way, I wanna stick it out because Mewtwo turned out to be surprisingly fun. I just can't handle it for the moment.

My semester ends in early May, so I hope to be back sometime after that point.

I'm sorry for dropping threads everywhere and then going silent, everybody. :(

Okay, so the log for the Clock affected characters who are going into Med Bay is up here! Just a note that this one's only for the threads with the characters's who've been signed up to get brought in before Quarantine - namely, Kon, Jeka, Jamie Hermeros, Marco, and Rachel. The characters who are bringing these guys in can also join in, but that's optional.

The Medical personnel who have signed up for this are: Sam Henderson, Sakura, Howard, Anwei, Kaya, Faiza, Yuna, Miranda Lotto, and Rory. We've got more Medical people than affected characters, but that's alright - we can have multiple Medical guys to a thread (and in the case of characters like Howard, Anwei, and Miranda - who aren't trained in medicine in their own right - doubling up might be better, since these threads are essentially the guys getting checked out). Medical personnel can also thread with more than one affected character as well.

Also, the threads don't have to be limited to just of the Clock affected characters being brought in and checked out - we can also have threads between the patients themselves, and between Medical personal as they talk about the patients. Whatever threads you'd like to have in Med-Bay for this, really.

Anyhow, this post is basically for any plotting you might want to figure out for this log, like which Medical characters are going to look at which Clock affected characters, etc etc.

HAHA THIS IS MY FIRST TIME EVER DOING A POST LIKE THIS, LET'S HOPE I DON'T SCREW IT UP...

So for those of you who don't know Puella Magi Madoka Magica, It's your... uh.... not quite so typical magical girl show. I'll just leave it at that. The girls are tasked with fighting evil beings known as witches, which are these really crazy, trippy monsters. Seriously, don't watch this show if you're high. The more they fight (or the more they get stressed out), the more their Soul Gems, the shiny MacGuffins that give them their super awesome magical powers, start to get all cloudy. If they go completely dark? Bad stuff happens, and again, I'll leave it at that.

So! How do they recharge? By killing witches. Witches drop Grief Seeds (see the icon), and they're like bad energy sponges. Stacy has so kindly sob brought an unknown amount of witches on board with the Puella Magi, and releases however many are needed from stasis whenever the girls' power gets too low.

AND NOW TO THE REASON I'M TELLING YOU ALL THIS.

Witches, as you may have guessed, are bad. They're monsters that feed off of despair, depression, and all those other crazy negative emotions.

They also like to cause that kind of chaos. If there's an unusually high crime and/or suicide rate in an area? Yeah, witches are behind that. They leave their marks on people, which causes them to act weird.

SO. We're not going to be doing logs for every witch the girls fight, but we'd like to do at least one, so people know that there are CRAZY MONSTERS being periodically released on the ship. And for that, we'd like victim volunteers!

What does this entail?

Well, there will be two witches released on board. They'll be going around, leaving their mark on any crew members they can find. They can become more prone to attacking people, more prone to depression... they might even try to do something extreme. They will not go through with The Extreme, as the girls will track down and destroy the witches before any kind of permanent damage is done.

Oh, and if a victim is magically gifted? They might also wander into the witch's barrier. Barriers are insanely trippy. Again, the girls will step in before any serious harm comes to your character, but if you want to have them get scratched up a bit, let us know!

As for participation... since there are only two witches, I'd like to keep this small. Maybe ten characters all together, with them divided up between the two. Since this is such a limited number, please keep it to one character per mun.

Aaaand last but not least: time. This will happen some time during Melting Clock. I can't give you the exact date, since it depends on when one non-castmate will be going evil and attacking the Main Character, BUT. I'll be making another post when that happens!

So uh... questions? Comments? Tips on how not to fail so much when posting a plot?
07:14 pm - Dropping :(
I'm sorry that I've been such a flake, but I think I have to drop. April just wasn't a good time to join a game for me, since right around then IRL started getting busy. :| I was so excited to join and looked forward to playing here, but then life just got busy and now I'm possibly taking on a second job.

Thanks to those I had the opportunity to thread with!

I'm helping out Alex here, since my characters' actions can help guide this along, but how is Azula's thing being handled? She attacked Zuko but is clearly mentally borked.

Aang would argue that she needs to stay locked up (but kept comfortable) and treated by Samson or someone, kinda in-patient style. Zam Tolen, my OC, after talking to her, wants her released but under the care of a security officer (herself) kinda parole/legal guardian style, with Azula being willing to do periodic mental checkups.

Both want to argue their case, and Alex would like Azula released soonish if it can ICly be possible. So how are we going about this and how can be do it kinda expediently? (Like, should we have them make their cases on the comms, and you guys can just decide with some ooc discussion? What's the best way?) Alex's ability to play her kinda hinges on this, so we do need to figure out what'll be decided fairly quickly, so I'd like to know how to handle it.
