TransPilgrims (TransMigration9: OOC)
May 25th, 2011
Calling a slowatus due to a con this weekend! I'll be spending the next few days before the con doing prep (costumes, panels, etc), so I'll probably be slow for a little while-- and then I can't make any promises at all for the weekend of the con itself.

This affects Tim here and Rachel ([livejournal.com profile] pretty_lethal) from now until Sunday evening. See you guys soon!

Just letting people know of an availability change.

Starting May 30, I'll be working all afternoon until 10 or 11 pm EST a minimum of five days a week. I'll either be off weekends or working weekends and off the Friday before and Monday after. This isn't much of a big thing for normal threading, considering slow-tagging and since so many are up when I get home from work, BUT it does mean something in regards to running plots since I run a lot of them.

From here on out, if I'm running a plot and I can't find any people to help co-run while I'm not there, I can only run the plots for late-night people who can be up around 11 pm EST to 2 or 3 am EST. It sucks, and I hate excluding people, but I still want to run plots and to run them people have to be on generally the same time so I can npc and answer questions. Work completely blocks aim and LJ, so it is what it is.

What this means: I'm going to only be running my own plot ideas rather than snatching up the bigger ones because of this. If I help run a bigger one, it'll be with the help of other players or the mods so there's always someone there. This leaves me with a plot I promised I'd run that I need to put up for adoption, though, because it shouldn't exclude people.

So, does anyone else want to run 7 Sins? I can help work stuff out, but I need to give it to someone who's able to be active at running it during the evening.

And for cloneplot, TC and Ishfe, are you guys able to help run it during the evenings? Because if not, it'll have to be just for late night people. I'd rather not do that, though.

Welcome to the third and final phase of the plot! This section of the plot will be a good deal more crowded than the rest, what with our gallant rescuers on their way, so please feel free to utilize subthreads in order to keep the action moving. Try to keep up on your sections as well, especially if you’re threading with more than two people. I'd like to get plot wrapped up within a week so that Melting Clock can continue unhindered, and backdating is always cool too.

Unless otherwise noted, feel free to NPC opponents for your groups to take out. The chief enemies in this section will be the Chosen soldiers of Reda’s personal guard. They are armed with a variety of rifles and other heavy weaponry, and aren’t bad at martial arts either—but of course, our crew is more than a match for them. There are about 125 of them, total, so kill them sparingly, but don’t wait up for me to introduce them for you to fight.

You can also feel free to injure your characters, if you feel so inclined. Try not to go too overboard, as remember that we're trying to escape here and things will be hampered quite a bit if everybody ends up dragging six wounded people.

As far as how things will progress, skip down to the section for your particular character to see a basic outline of events and the subthreads within.

Please use this post to plot stuff out, or to run any questions that you have by me. I'm putting it up a bit in advance to allow for this stuff. I plan on posting the thread proper tomorrow afternoon, May 26th when I get home from work. Remember, you can also always PM me or IM me on AIM at FullArmoredGG.

10:03 pm - Woo hoo~
Hi guys I'M IN YOUR T9, SPAMMIN' YOUR NETWORKS.

There's a new happening place in the city. I'll get to adding better info to the wiki soon, but in the meantime even outside of the post I linked to, knock yourselves out with it if you ever want to!
11:20 pm - Hey everybody!
Shae here. :)

We've got a few announcements!

In the next couple of days, we're going to be tossing up an IC post with a few little changes to the setting, re: violations and GLaDOS.

We're also going to be tossing up a plot discussion post, as it's a bit overdue. And speaking of plots, the calendar has been updated.

We'd also like to remind you that we are sad pandas with only five mods, and we're still looking for anyone that would like to volunteer and be our sixth. All you need to do is send us an email, and we'll pick our new mod in one week's time.

And now...

IC ELECTIONS

We are short one Councilor, and just like last time, here's how it's going to work:

-Players will OOCly throw their characters into the race here, in this post.

-Said nominations will be ICly handwaved - over the next five days (until 11:59 PM EST on Monday, May 30th) you can ICly campaign, to try and convince the ship that you are awesome and deserve the seat. It is also highly encouraged to make OOC notes here, in this post, of what your character is doing to campaign so it's all in one spot and easy to find, even if they're doing things IC as well.

-Afterwards, there will be a poll on the main comm, open for three days (until 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, June 2nd), where characters will ICly vote for their choice.

-The top vote-getter for Council will be put, well, on the Council. Ties will be broken with second repeat polls.

Duties: The Council's job is to be in charge of day-to-day life. If it doesn't involve fighting the Ohm (or any other threats that need fighting); you make the rules. You can pass laws and appoint Department Heads if any step down or need to be replaced. Power is shared evenly among the members of the Council, although the Chairman helps ensure that things run smoothly and is in charge of making the final decision.

Current members:

Matt Olsen (Chairman)
Kang
Superman
Vindicator Nehaalista
Prince of all Cosmos
Overlord Zetta
Dhianeila Y Leisha Altria Ol Yunos
Rhiow

Positions on the Council will be very demanding both ICly and OOCly. Even if your character would be the Best Councilor Evar ICly, you need to be able to handle the additional time commitment OOCly.

We would also like to ask that you have the intention to keep your character as a Councilor, if they win, for at least two months IG time (roughly four months RL). These elections are fun, yes, but too many in too short a period of time IC and OOC gets to be a hassle that we'd like to avoid.

If you don't feel you can handle the responsibility or time commitment, please, please do not throw your character in the mix just because you think it would be OOC for them not to run. We cannot stress this enough.

Go forth, meatlings, and nominate your characters! As always, if you have any questions, just ask!
