So in light of certain LJ changes and the current string of personal fails, I have to bite the bullet and admit that I can't do it, and I'm going to have to hiatus here until we finish the move to DW.

ACTIVITY CHECK

As always, we'd like to make sure the Cast and Contact pages are completely up to date.


Please check those pages and make sure that everything is right with you/your characters. SHAE NEEDS ALL YOUR CHARACTER DW USERNAMES. If you see someone we've missed - either they're here and we don't have them, or we have them and they've left - please let us know, too.

Important: Activity checks will now be every two months instead of roughly every three. That means the next one will be in March (this is the last time we will post this)

We do feel that it's necessary to show that a player has been somewhat active in the game. So we're asking that people just post one thread they've done in the past two months - from the beginning of November until now - with any one of their characters. If you haven't, then there's still seven days until the end of the AC, so get a-posting! This is just one thread per player, for ANY of your characters, from either a channel posting or an action log.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Post here with a statement with your user-handle, and character name/canon/journal, and a link to one thread you've done with any one of your characters since the beginning of October. This is the stuff we need.

Bolded is required. The other stuff can be left empty, but it's what's going on the contact list, so if you want it there, put it there! Or, if your current entry is up to date, just note that.

2. Newbies are exempt. If you're a new player that has either had a character podpopped in January or a new player that just got accepted in January , you don't have to post your activity. However, while this has no bearing on your actual game status, given that we're using it to update the cast roster/contact list, we would like you to post with the other stuff, instead.

3. Hiatuses. Please always remember to post up your hiatus in the HIATUS POST! Posting in the main community is to tell the other players, but the hiatus post is important to us since it easily tells us who is and who is not on hiatus. If you've already announced a hiatus, slowatus, or the like--we'll check the hiatus post for people who said they wouldn't be around. We'll try and check the OOC comm too, but you miiiiight end up getting a poke email because it's easier to miss things that are just on the comm. If you can, however, please post on this check saying you are on hiatus too, it can help us out, although it is not necessary.

4. Lack of Response After Contact. We will be sending out a gamewide e-mail during the check. We will do this to ensure that everyone gets a message about the player's check. Make sure your e-mail is up to date as a result! If you respond late, you'll have to hit up the next activity check (barring a hiatus announcement or the like), or you'll automatically be booted with no email.If you don't respond to two checks in a row, you will also be booted off.

5. Das Boot. If you get booted and didn't get a chance to put up a hiatus message, and it was just a slip of the memory, you lost your internet, some kinda LIFE thing happened, it's okay. Just let us know. Stuff happens, and this is just to weed out the people who've lost interest and wandered off without saying, not to punish people who've had bad luck or busyness or absent-mindedness or whatever. We'll put you back in if something like that has happened, even if it's even an accidental "Crud, I just forgot what week it was!" It's really nothing personal, it's not irreversible, it's just an administration thing.

6. Honesty. Please take a look at your characters and the activity of each. If you have inactive characters, and you've been busy, lacking inspiration, feeling blah, but intend to get active with them again, awesomesauce. Now might be a good time to hunt down someone to play with, contact the mods for a part in upcoming plots, or post the OOC asking folks for CR ideas. But please be honest with yourself whether or not you'll be active with the character again. We care more about players just hanging around, than specific characters being active, so we're leaving it up to the players to judge whether or not they've still got it in 'em to get active with a character--we'll only step in if it seems like someone is character squatting for a significant amount of time.

7. When the check ends. One week from tomorrow (January 24th)! That should give everyone time to hit this.

This will act both as information for other players and to keep all of our lists updated. As with the activity check, we'd like you to be honest with the replies as much as possible; if you don't feel like doing logs / activities with a section of the ship you signed up for, it might be best if you drop that so you can concentrate on other activities.

Please fill this out with each of your characters. I realize there are a lot of lists, but trust me, it will not only help us out, but give is a good idea of where everyone is currently standing in this game.

PLEASE DO THIS FOR EVERY CHARACTER! Thank you so much.

COMMAND & ORGANIZATION
The big one! Please list your character's position in the game correctly. There is also a Future line; this is for something you'd like your character to do/join a team later, just so we know (keep in mind that certain organizations are selective and it may not happen. However it does make the people in charge know that you are interested).

If you'd also like to take this as a time to step down from any organization, please see the section of this post to do so. We really want both organizations and command groups to be more active from now on so they can have a bigger impact on the game.

BUSINESS | JOB
Separate from the above action, this is where you list us a job the character might have on the ship such as a barmaid to Kang's bar, or having their own store in the city. If you are the owner, please also list information just so we know what it does and serves. Lash, for example would be listed as:

The store works in a barter system and sells whatever Lash and Zetta can manage to buy (and steal) during their shore leaves. You can find anything from candy to a pair of underwear to an mismatched pair of sneakers. The stock changes and you can find an up-to-date link here.

HOUSING
Where does your character live? In the city and if so what place? Do they have a roommate?

PET
If your character has a pet, please list the species and where they got them if they are not from the character's canon. (Ex: Lash's would be Dog | Alien Dog rescued from a shore leave )

CROPS | ANIMALS | ETC
No we don't want you to list every plant your character is growing, but we would like a general information if what they have, say if they own some goats from a shore leave and use them to make milk and cheese, or they have a patch of land they farm tomatoes with seeds they got from a shore leave, and so on.

NOTABLE WEAPONS | ARMOR
Things they might have gained to weapons and armor they had from their worlds. (Don't list all their weapons, but special | main ones)

VEHICLES
Anything from their canon stuff to things they have made on the ship.

AGE, HEIGHT
Rough estimates if you aren't sure.
