MOD SUGGESTION/CRIT POST

This post is an alternate option to emailing the mods about a problem, suggestion, or anything you need to address us with.

Things this post can be used for:

◘   Suggestions to improve the game/things you'd like to see changed
◘   Reporting Problems
◘   Crit for the Mods
◘   Requests for stuff like changing team leaders or adding people to teams
◘   Questions about stuff you're not sure of/setting info/upcoming plot stuff/whatever.
◘   Letting us know of some conflict you're not sure how to broach the subject between you and another player
◘   "I'm having trouble getting involved/getting CR, HALP"
◘   Lots of unspecified stuff. If there's something you just think we should know, you can comment here.

PLAYER CRIT

While we recommend people talk to one another first, whenever possible, this post can also be used to crit another player in the game, if they're OOC or the like and you're not sure how to broach the subject. We usually just talk to the other player politely to see how to fix it and act as a middleman to make it go more smoothly. Things we need if you're going to do that:

◘   The character you're critting
◘   An explanation of what you think is OOC/what's bothering you
◘   An example or two or a few specifics
◘   Whether or not you want your identity revealed to them

If the problem continues after we talk to the player, please contact us again to let us know it hasn't been resolved.

If your issue is with a mod, and you're uncomfortable addressing the mods as a whole, please email a mod you're comfortable with or contact them via AIM.

Anonymous is enabled, and all comments are screened and only visible to the mods.

As you can see HERE, there is now a Suggestion/Mod Crit Post. It is not anon, but it is screened so only the mods can see comments, and is an alternate option to emailing the mods with a problem or something you need.

Aside from it being used for suggestions of improvement, and a modly How's My Driving, it can also be used for player crit. The mods already handle a lot of crit between players, since we consider it out job to make sure everyone uses good grammar and plays ICly, and if you're nervous about giving crit face to face to someone, coming to us is a good second option. We'll handle it all polite-like and allow you anonymity if you choose, while still being able to get specifics from you and follow up after.

EDIT: It is also a good place to let us know this: "I'm having trouble getting involved/getting CR, HALP." That way we can help you do it and toss stuff your way or toss you at people that also want CR.

ALSO: If you're bringing in a new character who's not technically in game yet, you're welcome to join in because I'd just feel like a bad person for excluding you. :P Just make sure people know they won't be in until the January podpop.

We're not sure what exactly was said or who said it as the person who got told it no longer has a log, but, apparently either some miscommunication went on or someone thought something was true when it wasn't, and we're just taking the safest approach and letting folks know this in case someone has the incorrect idea. Anyway:

You do not have to be in chat a lot to get new characters when you app.

That is...wow, that is wrong. The only things the mods take into consideration are "Are you only apping one character and is it the right app cycle?" "Are you past the character limit?" and "Are you active with what you already have?"

So if there is someone that thinks you have to be in chat a lot to get new characters, uh, that's very false, very and please don't spread that around to anyone. Although it's possible this issue arose out of someone misunderstanding what someone else said, but without a name or the actual conversation, I figured the easiest way to make sure it's solved is just to point out our policy to the game at large.

We're not mad at anybody, don't worry, we just wanted to make sure everyone understood how apps actually work.
