03:39 pm - ITA: Brackets
The (very, very) tentative bracket for the tournament is now available here.

Because I had to go with 64 participants for a nice even tournament, I had to do a lot of randomization. If you would prefer to be placed elsewhere in the first round, please tell me. I will adjust it so everyone is happy. Whether it's to pick a fight you want better or just for a better shot at victory. I will make changes until Wednesday at fight launch and make a notification in this post whenever it is edited.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: Changes have been made. Every minor change means a lot of reshuffling behind the scenes because of the functionality of this bracket format, so please check your opponents for the first round again!

For the Security folks and Engineer types that wanted in, Cole witnessed the Brainiac trap being sprung and posted about it here to give other people information.

They trapped group has been teleported to a secret lab deep within the ship. They'll escape Brainiac 4's clutches on their own but in the end, they'll need to be rescued from the lab itself, so it's a good place for Engineering and Security to work together on the side. I am, however, not going to really organize that part and let it just happen organically, so whoever wants to talk the lead, go crazy.

If it takes a while to finish out threading (at most, it will hopefully be wrapped before the end of the month) we'll just bendytime it all as happening in a short amount of time (i.e. their response and rescue would ICly have been really fast).

Any questions? You can ask 'em here.

07:14 pm - Movie Night!
So, Kaylin and I have been talking about having John and Sherlock have a movie night where they watch the Great Mouse Detective. I figured that'd also be a great place to also do a general ship movie night thing and get people a-mingling. Ages and ages ago, we had a bunch of crew members cram into a Media Library room and sit there making fun of an imaginary movie. We made up ridiculous details about the movie on the fly and it was basically a free for all where people just kept tagging the bottom of the thread.

I wanted to see if anyone was interested in doing that again, and if so, what kind of ridiculous movie y'all wanted it to be. Horror? Cheesy science fiction? Environmental thriller? Once that's decided and once Kaylin and I have some threads wrapped, we'll toss it up (probably within a week or so).
